Author Topic: I got the RROD  (Read 2337 times)

That's bull stuff. I did it to mine and for around 6 months, it has NOT RROD'd
Great. It worked once.
It's still stupid. It can still easily kill your system.

I'll be willing to bet 6 xbox's on it. Which is also the amount of xboxs I have fixed without the trick.

Also, what do you think overheating your xbox will do to it?

Thank you.

This indeedly.

Problem: You put the Xbox 360 in an area where it's not well ventilated. My Xbox 360 has been in a spacious area always where it gets nice airflow and has never gotten an RRoD.

If it's an older xbox, this might not be the case, but that is a good thing to do none the less.

I've posted how to fix RROD's without any of those "tricks".
Wanna maybe give me a link to this? It might help more to know how to fix my Xbox, not if other people know how.

just send it in.

It's 100% free, and you get free stuff out of it. It only takes like, 1-2 weeks.

They'll give you 1 month of live free, and anything else you say you're lacking in.

I'd rather let professionals handle my system rather than trusting people over the internet.

It's 100% free
Only if it's under warranty, which mine isn't.

As long as you bought it with in the last three years.
Yours is under the extended warranty.

Call them over the phone.

I hope I don't get one because Microsoft doesn't support Xbox here. :c

I already did. It's not under warranty. One thing that sucks is that I bought it used on craigs list just about a year ago but the previous owners had it for a lot longer so it's not under warranty.

My friend once got the RRoD because he got a bunch of dust in his Xbox360's ventilation system.

Thorax, reply to my message!

I've found some ways to fix it myself through youtube and google. I pretty much understand what I need to do to fix it so I'm going to Lowe's today to get the parts. It would help a lot if any of you guys know any specific websites or videos that you have used to fix your xboxes. There are a lot of different videos and websites that say a lot of different things and I don't know which ones to use or trust for that matter.

I came here for your guys' help and I appreciate the help I've gotten so far, but more would be great.
