All you can do is call Microsoft. They're the real experts.

Well I took apart my Xbox and replaced the crappy parts with new ones and it didn't help at all. I didn't make my Xbox worse or anything, but what I tried didn't work.
If Thorax would loving reply to me, maybe I could get something to work right...

Yes, one less person on XBOX 360  :cookieMonster:

That sucks, when did you get it?  But anyways I would just send it in to Microsoft.

I got it about a year ago but I got it used off craigs list. If I can't fix it myself, I'll just send it in.

Will Microsoft take it If I've already tampered with it and tried to fix it myself? I know it gets rid of the warranty but mines already not under warranty which is why I tried to do this myself in the first place.

I can't confirm, but I think they will for a price.  I think it is $90 or something around that.  But you have been pretty luckily, having a used one working for a year seems pretty rare.

Or, you know, you can get the PlayDVD plugin for PS3. It's kinda like Jailbreaking it... except it just lets you play certain 360 games as movies, but you can use the controller (This is where it flaws, sometimes the controls are bogus and sometimes the DVD won't even read and it will just say "Please insert this into a 360 console" in 30 different languages, and sometimes it can fry the entire console, but it's never happened to me). I've only played Gears Of War on it, once, and it was quite boring... the controls were bad anyway. :3
