So I was bored not watching the Super Bowl today, and I was also playing Blockland. I decided that I wanted to make a server, but didn't know how to make it different than the rest of the other clones of TDM, RPs, or Freebuilds. So, here's what I came up with.
My server will be up for greater than or equal to two and a half hours a day, and usually 5+ hours during the weekend. During this time, each player will be able to get SIX, and only SIX 64x64 baseplates, for a total of a 384x384 building surface; it should be enough room, and if not, make due with it anyways. On this place, the player will get to build his or her own area for a small free for all deathmatch consisting of 12 or so players. At the end of the month, building will stop, and judging will begin. The community will pick which "map" they would like to play on, and after 5 days of voting, the winner will be announced.
Once the winner is announced, the map will be hosted for one week in the form of a free-for-all deathmatch.
Now, why would people waste their time you ask? Well this is where you guys come in. With your help, I would like to get together some of the popular players from Blockland, such as xC, Wicked and other popular server hosts. These select people will play on the hosted map occasionally, promoting the server's popularity.
Once the week of playing is over, we will get back to building another mini map for the next voting session.
