Author Topic: Buying a headset.  (Read 1963 times)

Well, a while back my mic stopped working and i had been planning to get a headset anyways, but now i need one. So i need help to find a good, or the best. I was looking at the SteelSeries Siberia V2 but i was wondering if there are any better cheaper ones? I do have a price range as well please under $170 unless it is a bit over and very good.

For computer?

Siberia's are rip offs, you're better off with HD555's or AD700's and buying a separate microphone if you want  quality.
5.1 and 7.1 is something to ignore by the way, they don't have better surround at all.

No, actually, it's a piece of stuff and you should NOT waste your hard-eaned money on it.

Had this, but need to resolder a wire that broke off soldering.
But it's very good.

All built-in audio recording devices are pretty much stuff.

I would advise that you buy a desktop mic, and just use headphones. When you buy a headset, you usually are sacrificing audio quality for mic clarity, which is a nono.

Update: I fixed the soldering on it and it's working great. I forgot how awesome it sounded <3

It's a definite unless you want something better.
