I like how he used this as symbolism to show our attempts to raise ourselves up on God's level as futile, and the stark angry contrast of his build to the world behind it, showing how we are making fools of ourselves.

For a first build i like it a lot.
20 hours would have ment you woke up and 4:00 AM and for the rest f the day build, little off on that but somthing like 13 hours seems more reasonble.

I know its your first but atleast put a point behind your builds. Its still pretty good for a first, though, When I started I absolutely dreaded making stairs that are more than just a 4x4.

I don't think it's crap, but 20 hours would certainly be an exaggeration. However, the OP doesn't know about duplicator/macroing, so he/she is probably telling the truth.

I give it a 7/10 for a first build without a duplicator. You must've had a lot of patience to make that.
