Author Topic: Viruses...  (Read 2185 times)

I cannot play Blockland without getting a virus that slows down the computer dramitacally and the creats a mirror of my computer and sends it to the person who sent the virus. It's getting so bad that I just uninstalled Blockland becuase EVERY time I play I have a virus after.... VIRUSES FTL

Either its a false postive or your installed something before or after that is giving you these problems.

No.  Blockland does not contain a virus.  You cannot get a virus through Blockland.

I don't think you even know what a virus is.

Games dont give viruses.
The only way to get a virus is if you downloaded something before that.
I don't like when people don't know what a virus is.

Im not saying Blockland contains a virus I am trying to say (what I think) A user in Blockland is sending me a virus.

How do you figure this is what's happening?

I run a scan on Norton Anti Virus and it tells me what it is and what it does.

What exactly does it say?
And I don't really trust norton.

A user in Blockland is sending me a virus.
This cannot happen. I have played Blockland for years and this has never happened to me. A user cannot send you a virus through Blockland.

It might be possible actually. someone could send a file through a mod/whatever and transfer it to a certain PC.

The viruses I get are Tracking Cookies, Suspicious Irc Bots Detected, and LOTS more Tracking Cookies in the last 10 days! About like 19 Tracking Cookies detected.

Where is norton tracing them too?

It just quarantines them

Tracking Cookies - Not a virus, or anything remotely dangerous. This is just information stored on your computer to use at certain sites. For example: If you login at the Blockland forums. The forums will store a tracking cookie on your computer for your session ID so you can actually stay logged in.
Suspicious IRC bots - I don't even see how this is a problem.
