The LNK file type is primarily associated with 'Windows' by Microsoft Corporation. A shortcut file is a pointer to an .EXE file somewhere on your system. When you click on the shortcut it's like clicking on the .EXE file and the associated program should start and run.
So, I edited this video for youtube, but when it finishes out, it says its a .lnkI don't know if this is a stupid question, but how do I make it into a regular video file?
If you right click on it and go to properties, under "target" there should be the file it references.
Or just right click it and click "Open file location".
Not in XP
I have Windows Vista.
Okay then. You have all that you need to find your video now.Good luck.
But, I don't understand, what exactly do I do?
OREither one, then you'll find your video. The .lnk isn't your video. Its a shortcut.
What should I put in the Target box?
Nothing. Right click the .lnk file and select "Open file location". That will open the folder with the actual video.
