I've heard a lot about this guy. What's the big deal about it?

Don't you mean i9?

The i7's aren't exactly new, per say.

Is it the Gulftown i7?

...apparently 860X? If so, it would be a midrange chip + new architecture. Extreme 860s?

there is no i9, it's an i7 980XE. The i7 is getting old, i5 750 is better for gaming.

Really? I thought it would be slower.

The i7 is a better processor than the i5, the i5 is not better for anything.

They dropped the name i9 about two weeks ago and changed it to i7-980X.  It will be a 6 core processor, 12 with hyperthreading.  Rumor is that it will be released in March, which is when I'm buying one.

New where you been? I've had one for two years

I was talking about the one that Zaran's talking about.

Hot dog that sounds awesome? Hyperthreading, I don't know what it is but it sounds sick.

Price point?

ok, the i5 isn't better, but if you're just gaming it's better bang/buck.

My computer has the i7 that was out in 2009, it has 8 cores.

Mine has 4 cores and is one of them  i's
