No, he isn't hard to get rid of it. If it makes you that mad just blatantly tell him that you don't like him, and don't want to hang out with him.
Try harder. Go up to him and tell him you extremely dislike his furry lifestyle and ask that he not talk about it around you. If that doesn't work, just end the friendship. Surround yourself with other friends to deter him if he persists to try and be your friend.This isn't rocket science, I would have hoped you would have been able to come to such conclusions on your own.
