Well, to be honest another game on the same engine which all we dearly love, Tribes 2 has voice chat.

But to be fair I don't want an screaming 8 year old on voice chat.

Pair it with steam. You can run Blockland via steam and just start a voice party for your server.

I don't think that the chat should be privlidged. It would be better if you coil just client mute the annoying little stuffs that don't shut up. Since blockland is primarily filled with littlekids it woul also be nice to use some 'away mode' where you don't hear then or talk to them but just see chat because when I'm on killingstreeks I don't want to hear a screaming little kid, I hear enough of that from Xbox live on modern warefare2.
