You're lucky.
If the worst care scenario is a blind dog then jump for joy.

My experience with animals is that they come and go in the blink of an eye.
Now I'm not saying that I don't care, because I love animals and I will cry when they die, but they will allmost certainly die before you.

So be thankfull that it's not worse, and make sure your dog has a good life.

Btw, my dog has a catarack in both her eyes, she has arthritis so she cant move, she has a tumor in her forward left leg, and when she was a puppy before we had her, the other owner had left her outside in winter and her face got frozen to the deck, she was also underfed as a pup, and she is too small to have enough strength to hardly even eat on her own. I win
