Help / Re: Server could not verify your Blockland ID
« on: January 17, 2014, 08:08:21 PM »
I apologize for the double post, but I have just read a console.log of a LAN server, and it works correctly, including displaying the connecting computer's LAN IP, not mine. I have also tried disabling the Windows service for UPnP to test, and it still is nonfunctional.

For some reason the connect request is from your own computer. That's not supposed to happen.
I found that odd as well.

I am having the same issue with my friend joining a server hosted by me.
The console.log of the server states:

Code: [Select]
Posting to master server
Posting to rtb server
Got Connect challenge Request from (My IP):36688
Starting arranged connection to (Friend's IP):36688...
   o possible[0] = (Friend's IP):36688
o possible[1] = (LAN IP that has nothing to do with ANYTHING, isn't my computer):36688
o possible[2] = (Unrelated IP, has nothing to do with anything):36688
   o possible[3] = 127.0.0.1:36688
Got connect request from (My IP):36688
  net name = EJBeierle
AUTHCHECK: EJBeierle = internet client -> internet server, regular auth
Authentication Failed for EJBeierle (My IP).
Issuing Disconnect packet.

I have uPnP off in both Blockland and my router. Port 28000 is forwarded to my computer. Attempts to join were made in Steam, with the server list, with my IP, and requests over RTB. This was done in both Steam and non-Steam versions of Blockland. I have tried this same issue with only one default add-on enabled (Emote_Alarm, picked randomly), and it still disconnected him.

Roblox with more than 100 bricks and another player on a decent computer.
Else Roblox with 10,000 bricks + 10 players. It's hell for !@#$ing supercomputers
I remember the one time I played it on a old computer back in sometime around 2007 or 2006 or something. It was unplayable. Now, playing on my top-of-the-line computer (well, about as good as you can get for less than 10,000, maybe not quite) it STILL lags on anything that has a reasonable number of bricks/players/scripts/bullets flying through the air (that you cannot avoid, because you player is frozen solid half the time).
It is the perfect example. If you want to see how laggy it is, go play it! It's FRREEEEEEEE! (Just kidding, to get worthwhile features, it's about $349.95)

If anybody even cares:

Blockland.
Type of Work:    Computer File
Registration Number / Date:    TXu001273154 / 2005-12-12
Title:    Blockland.
Notes:    Printout also deposited.
Copyright Claimant:    Eric George Hartman, 1981-
Date of Creation:    2005
Copyright Note:    Cataloged from appl. only.
Names:    Hartman, Eric George, 1981-

If anybody can find Roblox on that site (the copyright search thingy), I'd be amazed.
I don't even know how you could design a website that does not allow for searching by keyword without excluding any relevant results and including all sorts of irrelevant copyrights in Spanish.
