The Witcher 2 on max settings

I can run it easily on my good gaming desktop.  It's no benchmark setting game really.
Except java has some quirk in memory leaks and starts sucking up 100% of my 8gb after an hour or 4.

Liar, I get only tiny stutters with that

Minecraft.

And I am not joking either.
Minecraft "stresses" your system because of the Java Virtual Machine acting as a middleman between the actual game and your hardware, and because it's using such an old version of OpenGL some modern GPUs fall back to software rendering because the hardware interfaces for what it's doing are deprecated (this is to maintain compatibility, they're looking at upgrading nowadays)

Basically poor software choice, nothing to do with the game's code

it's not java it's minecraft's poorly constructed source code

The Witcher 2 with ubersampling enabled.

That stuff will forget up all but the best PCs.

Roblox with more than 100 bricks and another player on a decent computer.
Else Roblox with 10,000 bricks + 10 players. It's hell for !@#$ing supercomputers
I remember the one time I played it on a old computer back in sometime around 2007 or 2006 or something. It was unplayable. Now, playing on my top-of-the-line computer (well, about as good as you can get for less than 10,000, maybe not quite) it STILL lags on anything that has a reasonable number of bricks/players/scripts/bullets flying through the air (that you cannot avoid, because you player is frozen solid half the time).
It is the perfect example. If you want to see how laggy it is, go play it! It's FRREEEEEEEE! (Just kidding, to get worthwhile features, it's about $349.95)

I'll be sure to try this once I get my new computer all built.

Good luck. It's like a beefy form of AA. It essentially renders any given frame multiple times (like 4) and blends them together to create a much sharper image. You'd need a 680, or perhaps even a 690, along with a high end CPU to even hope to enable it and still achieve reasonable (30+) framerates at 1920x1080+. It cuts your framerate by about 60%.

Based on his avatar, name, and post content it's probably a 2005 laptop that cost like 1k at the time of purchase.

When I play BF3, my taskbar changes to the non-clear version thing. Not with any other games.

That's because your computer is stuff. Mine doesn't. That's right I'm egotistical because my computer is better than most people's.

OT: I'd imagine Hitman Absolution.

That's funny because I can run any ROBLOX server no matter what's in it at over 100fps. Get out you handicapped kid. Plus the most expensive laptop is not $10,000.

I'd love to see those fly off the shelves at Curry's.

There's so many things wrong with this, I don't know where to start.

1. It doesn't necessarily mean his computer is stuff. Windows is giving BF3 priority on his vram usage over Aero.
2. Your PC is probably average to slightly above average.
3. Hitman Absolution is nowhere near the most resource heavy game. And it's not even out.
4. You are a handicapped kid.
5. The link you posted has a laptop for $20,000 and $355,000. You didn't even read your own loving link.
