Gallery / IrishBandit's Civilization Roleplay

This is a Roleplay/ Minigame that I have created, inspired by Sid Meier's Civilization IV I created a more-basic version of this in Blockland. I call a Roleplay due it lacking any sort of scripting or eventing. Me, B Bomb,Frontrox and Alyx are the three people in the current game, I might host a larger game if people want to come, it will span over more than a couple days though if you want to play more continually. I also might host a "Quickplay" game sometime in the future, where everything is sped up and will take less time to finish.
Here are the pictures from the latest save of the current game, I am Orange, Alyx is Cyan, B Bomb is Blue, and Frontrox is red:

Help / AVG not allowing Blockland to authenticate

I just installed AVG and it's not letting Blockland authenticate, so I can't join any servers.
I added it to the allowed list but it's still not working.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Suggestions & Requests / Sprint Player

  I think it's be very useful if we had a playertype that was similiar to the fuel-jet player, but instead of jetting, when you hold the right mouse button, you go faster for as long as the energy bars has energy in it. It'd recharge slowly and if you went all the way to the bottom, you'd move slower for a few seconds.

So, what do you think?

Modification Help / Google Sketchup

This is a general thread for Google Sketchup help that the video tutorials don't provide.
Slightly un-related to Sketchup, I made this model for a soda can in Blockland:

I'm looking to get a script for it, and how to export it into a .dts file.

Alright, I figured out how to scale all sides towards the center so I can make the top and bottom better.
Here's what I have so far:




Should I use Hexagons for the top details too? or should I use circles and arcs?

Drama / Build Stealers

   I'm not the one to make drama, but why the hell do people steal builds? It just shows they have no building skills and it makes them look handicapped. I mean just today someone stole my Lab Build, which isn't even that great, and is hosting it right now and claiming it as his own. His name is Pwnmon da sniper, blacklist his ass all you want if you care, his ID is 7613. So I ask all build stealers, why do it? Also, he has FILMED some Blockland Bloopers video using it.

Help / Dedicated Server Crashing

Whenever I try to host a Dedicated now, it will crash within 5 minutes of it being up. I do not know what is wrong or if any of my add-ons are doing it.Can anyone help?

Suggestions & Requests / Acceleration Player

Acceleration Player would be almost exactly like a normal player, except when you first begin running, you start off slowish, and accelerate to a maximum speed as you run. Anyone think this is a good idea/could make it?
