Games / Garry's mod problem

This topic pertains to multiplayer, you have been warned
Whenever i load a server on my PC, it will reach the stage of "sending client info" and freeze. It appears that it is loading because it keeps saying "calibrating manhacks" and so on. eventually the multiplayer will crash and i will be sent back to the main menu.

Games / garrys mod wont load

when i load an internet server, and the game reaches "sending client info, the game minimises and i cant re open it, if you've had this problem before, or know what to do, please help me.

Help / game's all screwy, need help!

here is a list of problems,
i moved my add ons/maps to v 15 add ons folder, but the add on menu says i have none
my main menu screen is white and cant see the options etc. buttons
and more... but they have not been determined at this time, they will be added when found.

my friend was all "steam is giving out 3 free games" so i went to the site that he told me to go to, i loged in but ever since i havent been able to log in to play my games.
