That thread is from 2012.
Hatmod was released in 2014.
Huh, didn't notice that.

But the helmets are awesome and if they could be made into an expansion that would be very neat if he still has the models for them.

Wasn't there going to be an expansion pack with military headgear and stuff? I was really looking forward to that pack but it never got released or something.

Here's a link to it: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=202162.30

Suggestions & Requests / Vietnam War US Helmet Request
« on: September 23, 2014, 02:36:54 PM »
Can someone make a Vietnam War era US military helmet and a Boonie Hat similar to the ones shown below? I can't find any on the forums and the old one that used "/ahs" or whatever command to put it on is something I didn't like.

also, whatever happened to this hat pack JakeBlade was making? On page 3 he shows a bunch of cool new hats that he said would be released in a couple weeks, but that was in 2013.

Default ones with a window texture. Plus the 4x variant.
Cool. Thanks for the advise and suggestions. I'll try using those and putting up pictures soon

My server is open now if you want to come see.
Here's a link with a few pictures on it though.

Looks really nice judging from the pictures. I didn't join the server as the download was taking forever but did you use just the default ModTer Bricks or an expansion for them for the buildings?

I'd like it more if it were more brightly colored
Im not going to use primary or secondary colors for the build mainly because it doesn't fit the setting. Im just going to use greyscale for the buildings. The interiors might be brighter though as I'm going to revise the civilian quarters.
ugh jvs
I was thinking about using the default doors as well. I'm probably going to since I don't have to change much plus it would look more fitting.
Take a look at what im doing in my server with modular terrain bricks to create the buildings, it'll work a lot nicer.
Could you perhaps post a picture of an example? If not that's fine but thanks for the advice. I'll experiment a bit with modter buildings.

Yeah, bathrooms should have si-

oh yeah

I may add chemical showers in the bathroom or something.. I have a basic concept in mind now I just need to expand upon that concept with several different ideas which I'll state later.

General Discussion / Dystopian City - Require Builders/Input
« on: September 04, 2014, 02:21:26 AM »
So I've had an interest in Dystopian settings lately and decided to give it a try in blockland. What I've created so far is not too much but it's still some stuff. Keep in mind that I was heavily influenced by "1984" and City 17 from Half Life 2 so if anything I state is similar to either of the two, it probably is copied. On the day I created this thread I realized that I needed some help in building the city so what I've put together is my progress so far and a general idea of the theme of the city so that I could attract some builders who are interested. IF YOU ARE then you you can private message me.

Once Again: Any help is appreciated. I am in need of builders especially. Just message me if you're interested or just join my server if you see it. I usually host after 3 PM (PST).

Any tips, criticism, or advise is appreciated.

There is no official lore to the build but I'll worry about that later. Once I'm complete with this build I hope to maybe use it for a Dystopian RP server idk.

To do list and ideas (Includes lore, setting, uniforms, jobs, anything related to the build.)
- Replace JVS doors with default doors.
- Revamp civilian quarters
- Create lore:
(anything useful goes here)
- Make the rest of the buildings which have interiors
- Spawn point could be a metro station similar to the beginning of HL2.
- Main form of civilian transportation will be bus probably.
- Transportation for police and military is just military stuff.
- WHAT IS TIME PERIOD?
- Chemical showers in bathrooms?
- Some form of incentive other than fear to get civilians to work (im going to use drugs like Soma from Brave New World).
- Jobs:
(Everything Useful about Jobs here)

Here are some photos on my progress.

Here is the overview of the city. As you can see, it is devided into Sectors (or Districts, whatever..) where each one is divided into specific categories. For example, Sector 1 may be dedicated to Government where the head of the City creates Propaganda (kind of like Minitrue from 1984.)

Here is a rooftop view from one of the several buildings in the city. The structures on the edge of the city do not have an interior as that would take time and also lag alot.

These are the civilian quarters/barracks. I plan to put at least 4 or 5 through the whole city because it could occupy some space and could serve as flexibility for people to choose where they want an apartment in (ironic because they dont get flexibility). I know the building looks very crude because of the mass amounts of 4x4 cubes used in it. This was the first thing I built when starting the map and I hope to change it soon so it uses less blocks. There are also 3 floors excluding the lobby, where each floor has 3 rooms and a restroom.

The rooms inside the apartments. They are all the same and contain nothing aesthetically pleasing. I plan to put TV's in them as well a little bit of lighting soon.

The bathrooms. Not very sanitary since there are no sinks.

Help / Re: Mouse moving by itself - Windows 8.1
« on: July 30, 2014, 12:33:15 AM »
Good News: I have seemed to fix the problem thankfully but not completely. When I go into fullscreen mode, the problem goes away and everything works as it should but when I go onto windowed mode in any type of resolution, the problem arises again.

So yeah.

Is there dust or crumbs under the mouse? Is the sensitivity too high?
There are no dust crumbs under the mouse and the sensitivity is default which I don't think is too high.
Forgot to add, there is a possibility of a RAT, did you get it store new? Or did you like wipe it and reinstall the OS?
I ordered it from Amazon and no, I didn't install a new OS.

Another point I like to add is that the issue occurs mostly whenever I move my mouse downward (i.e. start to look at the ground). Whenever I do move it down, my player slowly starts to pan down until it reaches a point where it cannot look and more further than below.
