Help / Cannot join servers with "---" ping as of recently

I was trying to join someone's server and their ping was "---". I've had BL for quite some time and I know this usually means I can't join. After looking into this, I found out that he would need to port forward the server. However, I noticed that there were other servers with the "---" ping. For instance, I can't connect to Badspot's Speedkart. Considering this is his game, I would figure that he would set up his server properly.
What I'm trying to ask is, is there something on my end that would cause this? I connect through a ethernet cable now, so maybe that made a difference?

I'm not mad. I don't want to go back to his server. If that's his sense of how roleplays work, then I will not go on there any longer.
I prefer to just screenshot it on a tablet, because that is how I go on the forums.

Here's the story:
I was roleplaying on a Space RP he was hosting. I was a member of a ship that was not his. In the RP, I went over to his ship, asking for his resources. He said no and to get out for "intruding" even though I waited until I was invited in.
So, in order to spice up the RP, I plant a C4 on his ship. When I am about to detonate it he says
Death355: *there is no bomb.
Death355: *that never happened.
Understanding he doesn't want to die, I make the bomb do minor damage.
Jack92861: *I activate the ship's turrets and fire at the other ship
And then this happens:
1 minute later.... (excuse my excessive typos)

Hello Blockland Forums,
There may be some day I become a real member, but that day is not today. Instead, I am just a noob asking questions that have a super obvious answer to them, yet I still do not know it.
Anyways, I have been looking everywhere for the JVS doors pack. At least, the downloads without using RTB. (If only it hadn't died). I would greatly appreciate it if someone would provide a link to the thread that has a working download link (if there is one)

I don't think they will be confirming many characters at E3. They need to keep some a surprise. Also, I've notice a patern Nintnedo is doing with their games. They will talk about a lot of things in it, but those will be the only things in the game ( X and. Y as an example)
