Drama / Re: Trollin' Family RP's

Your ID probably isn't far away from 20,000+ so I don't know why you are singling them out like that.
Generalizing, I apologize to those with higher ID's and are wise in the ways of Blockland.

Bragging about trolling won't win you any friends here - rather, it'll probably get you banned.

Don't troll. Don't endorse trolling.
I am sincerely sorry for "bragging" of my trolling. It seemed to be an appropriate term to use.

I don't endorse trolling unless it is under the general distaste of the masses. On these forums, family RP's tend to be greatly disliked. In appeal to the masses, I leave my work. If it is undermined by the masses, I shall lock and kill this topic.

Drama / Trollin' Family RP's
« on: April 21, 2011, 02:52:02 AM »
Most family RP's are created by those annoying 20k+ people who have just gotten the game, and have no idea what they're doing. (Generalizing, I apologize to those with higher ID's and are wise in the ways of Blockland.) And hence, I have found a cure for those clueless admins.

Gentlemen, behold!

Corn! Explosive trolling! (Below)

Unfortunately, my trolling didn't last until a crash, so it didn't end in victory. In fact, I was defeated in the end. But the reactions to my actions were pretty damn priceless.

I remember reading a post a long time ago saying that their ultimate goal getting banned from every Family RP on Blockland. I have picked up that goal, even though I actually didn't get banned from this server. I guess I'll just have to try harder next time.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Server-side Mod Request: RAGE QUIT.

Bump + Message

Sounds fun. I've seen this done on TF2 before (If someone on the losing team leaves, a message is displayed center screen "RAGE QUIT!", and an announcers' voice says "RAGE QUIT!". I love it.), and it would make me oh so much more happy to see this in BL too, but with your own serverside message. :D

Also, to all those people who are complaining whither or not the leaving player is actually raging, this would be just a fun mod. If you leave seconds after dying, it could cheer up the server seeing that there's not only one "frustrated" player. This mod, I like the idea. Those who think that they would gain bad rep for it can give reasons, but this can also assume great comedic timing.

No first post for you. (If this topic even gets any consideration taken into it, I will be surprised.)

Suggestions & Requests / Item props
« on: November 04, 2010, 02:52:47 AM »
So I was being inspired by the very few "feature films" created via Blockland on Youtube, and realized that some of the videos lacked a few basic props. We currently have a few, such as the camcorder, chocolate bar, sandwich, wrench, torch, glowstick, etc. However, things such as handcuffs, books, water bottles/glasses, cigars, and other miscellaneous items are not present, or I have yet to discover on the forums/RTB. If I am to eventually find time in my busy schedule, I will attempt to take up modeling from scratch, and perhaps, create some of these. In the meantime, however, I leave it up to those who can actually script out there.

So, here are my requests:

Handcuffs
Preferred features:
-Player holds hands up (Like that of a zombie, or that of a hug) with handcuffs on the hands.
-No hand model used. Players will not see their hands in first person, so the hand color will not be limited.

Flashlight
Preferred features:
-Flashlight is actually modeled to that of an actual flashlight. (None of this printer crap)
-Flashlight model is facing forward. (Direction of the player's sight)
-Light (bulb) of the flashlight glows, visible in the dark.
For you complex coders out there:
-Flashlight does NOT have to emit a light. However, if possible, that would be greatly appreciated. (A stream of light, not a ring of light.)
i)If you don't wish to make the light visible to everyone, try out a client-only option, lighting up a circle of their view. (Kinda like item_nightvision, but not your entire view, just part of it. I don't know if that's even possible, but if it is, that would be preferred over everyone seeing the actual light.)

Lantern
Preferred features:
-Practically the same thing as the flashlight, but in the form of an old-fashion lantern.
-Lantern would be held via handle, and dangle below the hand, perhaps slightly out of view of the player wielding it.
-Glow would hold more of an orange hint than white.
For you complex coders out there:
-Same as the flashlight. It can emit a light, but this one can go in all directions; a ring of light. Shouldn't be as complex to code.

(Cell) Phone
Preferred features:
-The screen is lit up, but doesn't have to glow.
-Either a flip phone, or touch phone... or both!
For you complex coders out there:
-Perhaps some sort of option where you raise your hand (And phone!) to your head, like you're actually calling someone!
  i) Perhaps it could also work like the spear. You click (Holding down left mouse might become a nuisance), and you raise your hand to your head. Click again (Or release left mouse), and you will return to holding the phone in your hand again.

That is all that I can think of for now, but if I come up with any new ideas, I'll add 'em in here. If anyone out there has an idea for a prop, go ahead and post it. If it's a decent idea, I'll add it to the list: but make sure to say what the preferred features are. (I might add on to them. –uo)

Note to those who consider and/or make these:
The detail doesn't have to be extreme. These are just props, and shouldn't be regarded as the king of add-ons. Simple, but legible, is what I'm leaning towards. If simple doesn't work for you, you can go into detail, but it's not needed, nor requested.

DISCUSS.

Modification Help / Re: And another weapon pack
« on: September 30, 2010, 10:42:49 PM »
How about the V-button to use sights? No one uses the V-button.

Ffffff- My one-button-mouse has made me retort to using V as my jet.

Lets not use the V-button. I'm leaning more towards using "c" as the sprint, but then you have no way to walk slow. Perhaps leaving out a sprint option, or I'll have to find a new jet key... I've really gotten used to having my hand spread out, however.

But anywho, what's that one person's keybind to a weapon pack to the rest of the community... plus the fact that I'm rarely active on it.

(After much thought)... Perhaps the zoom function could be a sprint, 'cause of the whole "Disable zoom for iron scopes" thing. Just an idea, probably not gonna happen.

All you really need is a plume on both the left and right sides of your head.

I use the bot events to give my "furry" avatar an ear, I just need the other ear...

Perhaps a spear-like-item with a long-lasting light-up projectile?

Firework launcher minus the launcher.

Maybe it should have electric emitters, and make a *bot* useless, until hit by the TF2 Wrench or something.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Random Item
« on: May 22, 2010, 08:55:19 PM »
Yeah, I remember the old one of these. Perhaps you could choose certain weapons, so you wouldn't have to disable all the other crap that you had. (Example: TF2 weapons -Blockland randomizer mod. :3-, but you have other weapons enabled as well, like Tier+Tactical)

Suggestions & Requests / L4D ammo mod.
« on: May 22, 2010, 08:48:30 PM »
I'm working on a L4D(2) build, and I discovered that none uses the secondaries for anything, aside from the occasional melee. Yes, I'm using Rykuta's L4D2 weapons, because they fit the build, and are L4D based, although I know that they are VERY similar to Bushido's Tier+Tactical weapons. Getting back on track here, the reload sequences are nice and all, but they DON'T limit the maximum amounts of ammo. As I'm no scripter (The closest I've gotten to it is adding a few weapons to the L4D-style survivor playertype...)I don't know how it will turn out. I DO have some ideas I'd like to take affect, if this is ever created.

1: Have a list to add weapons to. The list could have different sections, like "90 rounds shotgun", "250 rounds assault rifle", "80 rounds sniper", and more. All you would have to do, is put the name of the weapon into the category under something like "AmmoShotgun.txt".

2: An event and/or item that replenishes your ammo. Example: Onactivate>Client>AddAmmo>(Number) (Yes/No to max ammo)

(Optional) 3: Make ammo deplete for weapons that "reload"(Like Tier+Tactical, or the L4D2 weapons pack).

(Optional) 4: Display the amount of ammo that the player has. Clientside, of course.

As I said, I'm no scripter. I know some things here might not be possible, but it's an idea. If my mind sparks again, I'll add to this.
