Notch said he is definitely making a year and seasons, and maybe an all-winter mode, and an all-summer mode, and then of course Normal. Snow falls during winter.
I commented that snow could be like DF's x/7 water scale. Anything above 4/7, you have to shovel out of the way. With each seventh added, you could move through it slower.

My fortress was doing fine until winter came. Then I realized I was depending on the lakes for water. Now that they were frozen, my dwarves proceeded to die one by one. Any solution?

I loved Two Worlds. You're pretty much all-powerful when you hit level 15 and some of the potions were just loving awesome. Infact, I liked the ingredients in TW more than the ones in Oblivion.

Hell loving yes. Whenever night comes, I, being a total pusillanimous individual, just barricade myself in my house and browse the minecraft forums. When day comes, I burst out and start killing mobs.
