that still seems kinda pointless, if it's just a grenade launcher. I mean, it's an explosive for one thing, and it shouldn't have to go far, so there's not that much need to be perfectly accurate. the ladder sight is most likely not accurate anyway
Hmm, never thought of it that way actually.

hey
make a gun that does this rangefinding, but it will also calculate how long it'll take for the bullet to reach that point
That was another thing I thought about with the rangefinder, it could be used with guns with any gun with projectile drop. It'd probably take practice, but I think it would help a lot.

it seems like it'd be pretty easy to make, but it also seems useless. what do you want it for?
I plan to make a Battlefield 2-like map. Large-scale warfare, that sorta thing. I figured it'd be helpful for anyone using grenade launchers, since Gravity Cat's guns have grenade launchers with sights that need to be used at certain distances, due to the heavy projectile drop from the fired shell. The rangefinder would have been there to help grenadiers determine how high they need to aim to hit their target.

Edit: I'm thinking of a ladder sight

I've not seen any item similar to yours, however I do have an item that does the 'distance finding' thing if anyone is willing to fix this up into a rangefinder
Thanks, I remember having this a long time ago, I completely forgot about it.

Essentially, a handheld scope that counts how many studs/meters between the user and what they're aiming at, displaying the distance to the player.

then it gets annoying if you look at the wrong thing
It'd probably be best to have it be annoying than allow it to be spammed.

I've seen this before actually, Gravity Cat's Default Styled weapon pack has an expansion with a rocket launcher, the only weapon from the pack capable of dealing any damage to vehicles. It'd be awesome if there was a script that limited vehicle damage to explosions and weapons with a certain line of code. That way we don't have one guy rushing tanks with a combat knife or a shotgun and blowing it up in a matter of seconds.

I know this is possible but I don't really know if there's a away to make a vehicle/weapon to differentiate between an air vehicle and a ground vehicle. The best I've seen of this was Gravity Cat's humvee pack which had one with a turret mounted on the back that launched missiles that could only be fired at vehicles you were aiming at. I'd still like to see this made though.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Squads For Team Deathmatches

This suggestion is based on a mechanic I saw in original Ace of Spades about 2 years ago. I thought it was really cool. Does battlefield have something similar? Wouldn't know.
It does, in fact, is uses this exact concept. Squad members spawn on each other when they die, if the entire squad dies they have to respawn at a base. Squad members can spawn on other squad members in vehicles if the vehicle isn't full.
