Author Topic: Blockland Heists - Robbers, Cops, Civilians, Bankers!  (Read 904 times)

Blockland heist would be a gamemode where there are 4 teams, the Robbers, Police, Civilians, and Bankers.  The Robbers job is to carry out this heist in whatever way they want, there would be custom builds, similar system to Speedkart, Rising-lava, etc.  And the build would rotate every X rounds.  Here is an example of how the Robbers would start:

The Robbers run into the build, coercing the Civilians to get on the ground/wall, two Robbers are watching the Civilians, and the other two are yelling at the Bankers to open the door, after they open it, it triggers an alarm causing the Police to be able to spawn (they would be spectating the bank until then).

I think this gamemode would be awesome, obviously it would need a good 15-25 people to work well.

Robbers
  • Limit of 4
  • Weapons: AK47, M9, and lockpick.
  • They would have 100% armor.

Civilians & Bankers
  • They would be able to phone the police, but the Robbers would instantly know.
  • They have no weapons or armor besides a knife (I think only 5% of the Civilians should have a knife).
  • No limit

Police
  • Limit of 10
  • They have a pump-shotgun and an M9
  • They only have 50% armor

But Ide, how would they escape after they've looted the joint?  It's up to the map builder entirely to be honest, their could be a van around back waiting, or they could just shoot their way out, but their should be a brick where it completes the round, and adds points to the Robbers.

But Ide, what if all the Robbers die?  Then they lose...

But Ide, what is the Robbers kill all the Civilians right when they come in?  Seems fair, they're trying to get money, either way, as soon as the Bankers open the door, an alarm goes off, that's how banks actually work because the Bankers hit a secret alarm that triggers the doors to open and sends a notification to the police.

But Ide, there's only a limit of 10, that's not how real life works!!  This isn't real life, this is a lego game, and besides, it's not balanced with 20+ Cops against those 4 Robbers.

Obviously the Administration can make rules if they don't want the Robbers to kill randomly.

Discuss opinions, I don't know if anyone will make this, but it would be loving cool.

Ive actually had an idea like this, but i never got around to making it. I might make it.

After playing payday 2 for hours on end this sounds great!

It's nothing like Payday though?  I thought about that but I just don't want to.

What would prevent civillians from calling the cops at any time they want?

I'd have to say something about the phoning system, though. Since it's a single map, the police would instantly go to the place. However, if there were a few places, then phoning the police would include telling them which place to go to. Also, the police building, armory, and garage should be locked until phoned. When the police are phoned, they are required to answer it to reveal the location to the police and unlock the building, armory, and garage.

Well if there are few places to rob and police isn't spectating/locked in the PD, the police would probably patrol the streets, meaning that there is a possibility that cops will spot the heist before the vault is open. So basically there should be a way for cops to unlock weapons if they spot something suspicious, without needing a civilian to do it. Robbers should be also dressed as civilians before spoted/they get out their weapons.
All of the above will add a stealth aspect to the game, which, I think, will make the game mode more intresting that just a TDM with a twist.
