How does this count as a Suggestion and/or Request? This is just telling people that you're making a low-to-none budget "Movie" on a $20 Computer game.

I'll do my research now that I know it is possible even with just the brick generator. If I can get that then I can probably get the rest very easily.

Of course its not going to be easy. Neither was making the original Blockland. Lots of things aren't easy but they get done anyways. If you can beat a Call of Duty game on veteran and then complain something is too hard, you've got some issues to work out. I would do it myself if I had the resources but as I said, I've got no computer. This whole topic was really just an elaborate thought. But of corse, most if not all topics on the suggestions sections are. If nobody will take this seriously, I'll have to find a way to do it myself. Ill make the money for the App and you'll see me laughing in you're face. I could even find a way to get the torque engine for the Phone.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Tow Truck
« on: April 12, 2011, 08:58:41 PM »
I could just see myself driving through an RP with a trail of about fifteen Towtrucks behind me. I could see alot of other idiots trying it as well. Might want to make sure nothing like that could happen. Depending on the RP you could use Towable Trucks and trucks that can't be towed. like if you're on a Super Towing RP and everybody has towtrucks, people could still get mounted. If towing is possible, I don't see why a cargo train isn't.

As for the Beta / Alpha thing, the main control would probably be tested before released to the public.

There will be a rather simple way of controling the camera. Remember the Grid on Grid I was talking about? Touch screen arrow keys (hidden until certian phisical button (Android) or small on-screen button (Ipod / Iphone) pressed to reveal them) to control which section you're working on. Thus creating "Chunck-Building".

First of all, I said that blockland was not going to be PORTED to a phone. It will be a low end version that only let's you build. Second, earlier I said that a bigger grid could be placed over the existing one for "Chunk-Building" making larger builds much easier than using a full blockland landscape you would have to clumsily manuver with google earthlike controls. I think it would be great for somebody to atleast try the idea. Afterall, what are betas for right?

Anyways, I would like to get back to what we were talking about and not letting this turn into a flamefest.

A BUILDING APP!!! Im not talking about porting blockland. Just an app that could run a much smaller non-physics based building so you can build on the go. Link it to the forums and whatnot so people can upload via 3g or wifi and download builds for exploration. No servers or characters running around and therefore almost non-existant lag. Even if it does run slow you can buy a real nice overclocking app for 2 bucks or have an overclocker built in. And then you'll still have your video settings. If somebody could pull it off I'd be very happy. You could even charge people for it.

No no. I mean like a building app to port builds to the game. You could have a grid on the present grid to change screens while not having to control your charecter.

Since the death of my computer I've been thinking about this. Without a PC to play my favorite game, I find myself occasionally bored on those rainy days. Since then, I had purchased a New Droid X and have been exploring its capabilities. I soon realized the abundance of Applications in the Android marketplace. Judging by its sheer power and ability to support console games such as Need for Speed Shift and Madden 11, I find that it could be very capable of running a low-end version of Blockland. Of course I'm not into all of the SDK tools for app developing but that's only because I'm missing my computer. With that said, I have decided to suggest making a Blockland App for Android and maybe even IPhone. I think it would be a great leap into the world of handheld gaming and more importantly spreading the word of this game to the world.
