Dear Leader also praised your vaccine, and even claimed he "came up" with the ideas for the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson shots. He did it so fast, without him it would have taken five to twelve years!

big pharma never lies bro, and neither does the government! it's fine to disregard the criminal and civil penalties some of these companies have incurred, because at the end of the day they know best! don't question the higher authority, just do what they say!

I was almost convinced to inject a foreign substance into my body when I found out I could get free fries, but ultimately I decided against the dire hunger I was feeling because vaccination didn't seem very tasty on that particular day.
I don't like big pharma either, but vaccines have had a massive known beneficial impact on death rates from COVID and other diseases. Take this chart for example:

https://ourworldindata.org/covid-deaths

The daily death rates from COVID have drastically decreased exactly at the same time that the vaccines came out; that being Dec 2020 onwards. This pattern can be repeated with other diseases as well. Here's Polio, which had it's vaccine released April 12, 1955:

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/reported-paralytic-polio-cases-and-deaths-in-the-united-states-since-1910

We even eradicated smallpox, which had it's modern vaccines sometime in the 50's (although I can't find an exact release date, but the chart shows a similar trend, but with economic inequalities this time!):

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/reported-number-of-smallpox-infections-by-world-region

The amount of damage vaccines would have to cause in order to be worse than the clear cut net benefits seen it would have to be drastic. I have my problems with big pharma too, but remember that they do have to produce products that work; negligence and not wanting to produce cures are the 2 main factors going against them, and we already have almost 5 years of data that doctors and scientists can work off of and investigate without the influence of big pharma and nobody had reported anything alarming mid-long term. Vaccines are showing itself to be safe. Full stop.

so your okay with people having the freedom to chop off their body parts or spread HIV but they shouldn't have the freedom to decide what goes in their bodies? doesn't seem to make much sense

The issue with this argument is that you're conflating these 3 things as though they're equal. Me getting GRS isn't having any meaningful negative impact on you or anyone else. Knowingly spreading HIV is obviously a bad thing and you shouldn't have freedom to do that, and I haven't seen the original argument regarding this but I suspect a strawman argument here (sorry if not). Everyone getting vaccinated facilitates something called "Herd Immunity" and serves as a natural protection for those who are immunocompromised, and therefore cannot take vaccines. People not getting vaccines can gravely harm, and likely kills, people who are immunocompromised since you can get infected much more thoroughly and are more liable to spread these diseases to other vulnerable people when it could have been prevented entirely.

I'm considering a 4 day badge but I probably wont get it if everyone is going to do a Saturday one.

Also don't forget to tell the souls who have left the forums who may want to go!

Should I actually make a thread to gauge interest on going to PAX?

Also, was there ever a proper Blockland Forums meetup before?

thats actually kinda awesome actually LOL. i had no idea he was hosting everything personally (presumably even the master server during the peak days of BL?), having the kind of self-reliance to basically keep your livelihood running with your own hardware seems very intriguing. i should look more into that

Pretty sure he's using a hosting provider (a long time ago he moved from brinkster to something else) and just using the same VPS for everything of his; he is not using personal hardware.

What happened to the paper bag? The writing implies that something happened to it because the PBJ was found both inside the paper bag while also staining the carpet.

And now a separate list for Youtube Poopers:
Now that's a genre I haven't heard about in a while.

Now that you said something I feel like I'm starting to notice the beginnings of people posting more often. It's actually kind of nice seeing the potential of a BLF renaissance.

i like your nails, black is my favorite
OMG I was gonna say the same thing!

Sadly it can't run PCSX2 at all, it's an ARM based architecture that can only support up to 32bit emulation, it can run Dreamcast, PS1, N64, DS and PSP iso/roms smoothly, though.

Aw that's sad but I guess it makes sense after looking up the specs. Still really good for the price though!
