I am jealous of your internet connection.

Your laptop should have came with a support code. Look around on the laptop's case for one.
Once you've found it, go onto the manufacturer's website, click the Customer Support button (something along the lines of this,) enter the support code, and it should come up with drivers, among other things, for the computer.

Right click the installation executable and click Open.
If it doesn't label that, you probably should try to repair the OS (get the installation disk[s] and follow instructions.)
Even if THAT doesn't work, you may have to reinstall your OS completely (formating your hard disk [erasing EVERYTHING ON IT] and reinstalling Windows.)

The heck is wrong with my comp? I did the thing, It said Double-Click in FO, Apply, Ok, but it wont work, same thing pops up, do I have to shut down comp and turn on?
Try restarting, and/or repairing your operating system.
I've used computers since Windows 3.0, and I have never seen anything that couldn't be solved by restarting or repairing.

Oh, this stuff happened to me all the time when I was using Windows 98.
Open the Control Panel, go into Folder Options, and click the 'Restore Defaults' button on all the tabs.
I don't know if it'll fix it on Windows 7, but it seems to work on XP also.

I'll join this.
It goes against my morals, but I really hate it when bronies think they're superior.

You're playing it, yet you didn't pay for it like you were supposed to.
Me and my roomies share a computer anyways. We practically play on the same one.

9
How is it piracy? He gave me the .jar files he downloaded, all I can do is play single-player.

All I own is a single-player copy my roommate gave me.

Comcast:
We will promise you 50 MB/s connection. But only give you 1.5MB. Also since you work here. We will throw in random disconnections and cover the forgetin tracks up with a new IP. So you will never know we did this stuff on purpose. Heres a bonus. If you have have netgear we will throw your connection to 700 MB/s.
Sounds better than the 10Mbit intranet (LAN) this dorm network has.

Bell Canada
We promise you 6mbits/s download but only allow you to have 3mbits.
Oh yeah, we also illegally throttle your connection so you only have 3mbits from 1 AM to 12:30 PM, because we're always doing maintenance (lie).

I'd rate it 0/5.

You're not the only one having issues with online steam games. (my problem could be an outdated OS)

It may appear fine, but in HL2:DM, my ping shoots up to 300+ ms.

If you were using the integrated chipset, it could have beeped to indicate new video hardware.
That or it somehow recovered from ESD.
