you and me both......my first post ever was a year old bump that got me banned lol. i totally brought that topic back to life tho

you're telling me man, look at my first post https://imgur.com/BXYnsVg

I loving decided to stuff all over somebody for no reason on my like third post lmao... 12 year old me was going through some stuff guys.

I used to escape into games to escape from my real life. This community was definitely with me during my coming-of-age. Pretty crazy looking back.

I'm also pretty surprised to see it still seeming active with people even coming back years later to say hi. Makes me feel like maybe this community can survive a few decades of us all working then we can retire and build with legos again :)

Has anyone played the TTT mod on Garry's Mod? It's a really fun whodunnit game mode, is there anything similar available for Blockland?

So I guess this means nothing has changed. Haha well thanks for the warm return party even if you don't remember. I can't really tell if the people I knew changed their avatars or are not here any more. I mostly recognize avatars rather than names anyway.

I was just feeling nostalgic so I went through the forums of one of my first games I ever played. I was like 11 when I started posting there. I was around 13-14 here. It's weird to see how you behaved to people in the past. I was a little prick sometimes.

It seems like forever since I've looked at this game. How's everyone been? Anyone from when I played still here?

The Free Land of Iklezia is a tiny, devout nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 12 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. The average income tax rate is 30%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture, Woodchip Exports, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales industries.

Animal Liberationists are regularly jailed, organ donation is compulsory, marijuana is legal in the privacy of your own home, and thieves are flogged in public for their crimes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Iklezia's national animal is the Blobfish, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Potato.

I wish AoE II had a reliable place to play online. Only one I know is GameRanger and that is incredibly glitchy, most people can't run it.

You start with an un-attackable home city, similar to AoE:3 and you build it up with challenges and gathering resources in small games. You can equip "items" which seem to be basically power-ups for different aspects of your civilization. These power-ups come into play once you do some versus online. It's free to play, with micro-transactions.
