The way Blockland works is all bricks are on a grid and locked on to that grid. That's why you can't move bricks 0.5th of a brick. It's literally impossible to move bricks off the grid in such a way.

True, but you could build a vehicle 'off grid' (i.e. in non-player space), and map it to a vehicle object on the grid. So you have a vehicle editor area where you build the vehicle, just like you'd build anything else in gridspace, and then it essentially replaces the vehicle object on the grid. Like the way skyboxes are done in Half-Life/Garry's Mod.

Of course, the prior concerns stay true, it would still be treated by the game as a normal vehicle. Plus, this is a bunch of extra crap to code into the engine. It could theoretically be done as a mod, but wow, I'd hate to debug it.

But yeah, I as well wish to someday build movable things. With Legos RL, I spend most of my time building cars, tanks and ships.
