Help / Re: Asus eeepc problems!
« on: April 10, 2008, 10:51:50 PM »
I doubt that your Eee pc has 2 GB of ram because according to its product pace, the most ram you can have installed on one is 1 GB. You probably just have the version with 512 MB ram and a 2 GB SSD, but I don't see how that would be the cause of you problem though. Here is the product page if nobody believes me : http://eeepc.asus.com/global/product.htm

well i bought the 4g version which allowed me to upgrade my ram from 512mb to 2gb, i bought a 2gb stick from ebuyer for 30 quid, i m also adding  touch screen, 16gb internal usb space, bluetooth and gps myself.

well anyways i still cant get blockland to bloody run, think its a screen res issue :-(

Help / Asus eeepc problems!
« on: April 08, 2008, 11:39:18 AM »
Hey guys, i recently purchased an asus eeepc, the other day i tried installing blockland on it and it worked, but then it comes to setting user input i.e keyboard and mouse config, it just stops and repeats that over and over again.

can anyone help me with this? is this just to do with the eeepc? or is it a problem other laptop users have had?

Hey guys, i am hosting a 32 player server for PPT, you guys should have been notified of the server details last week sometime when it was supposed to be up.

Anyways the server is now up and running and i want to see how it handles tonight.

So if you play on the server and experience problems unrelated to your connection/hardware then post the details on this post!

Thanks, Megacamz

Ok, i have a new problem....its basically my router, it doesnt allow port forwarding and uses DMZ, i put my pc in the dmz and nothing else can connect to the internet, i read about it on the internet, apparently my router suffers from this bloody problem.

I am sooooo pissed off, it means i need to get a new router to host a server on blockland :(

Help / Re: ۩۩ Update Your Drivers ۩۩

Yeah on the Nvidia site (link posted a few posts up) it has an automatic driver finding feature for those of you who are unsure of what card you own!

Or for those of you who cant be arsed looking through the options yourself when a clever piece of software can do the looking for you! - like myself :-D

ah hey badspot, thanks but i forgot to mention, my router does have port forwarding, its called something else now,but it STILL didnt work, the server succeeds at everything else, but when anyone trys to connect its dead, is there any sort of work around to get it working?

I know nobody likes a n00b but i just cant figure out why its not working (it doesnt even work when i am DIRECTLY connected to the internet)

Is there any Tut's on hosting dedicated server for instance?

Thanks, cammy

Help / Port Forwarding is crap.
« on: March 11, 2008, 09:15:58 AM »
Hey guys, currently i am trying to host a dedicated server on blockland, i was told that forwarding my ports would be the solution, but i found the blockland tutorial to be a bit out-dated and certain router specific.

Modern routers are a bit different these days, my router doesnt offer port fowarding on the same level, instead it offers having my firewall completely off, or putting my said server in a DMZ, which exludes it from needing port forwarding, which works with everything else for solving unblocking port issues.

Is there anything else i can try to get my server up and running, or is it possibly something coming in the 9th version of blockland?

Thanks, Cammy
