yeah ive noticed it happens almost everytime Badspot post's something

I want to know how to use discoverFile so I have an easier time working on my scripts.

You could make the downed player a new player datablock, where you can't move or jump or jet or anything. The energy bar shows time until death. Scripting for the game could have it so that when health = 0, instead of death, last stand mode. give them, for example, 1min to be revived. Sounds like a good idea.

BTW, this mod would be Blockland's mod, NOT COD5, they are similar, no connection should be made. This is Blockland, not COD5

I'm gonna make a Halo server, it's going to be awesome. It's going to have the very exact same maps as Halo, same weapons, same rules, same everything. Then, with my admin power, I'm going to spawn kill, then give myself weapons that aren't in halo, like mini nuke!

... Or I could just play halo on my goddamned XBOX! Where the real fun is. Halo fans, GTFO with HALO! Don't make a server or mod that has anything to do with another game, just play that game! I guarantee COD4 and Halo are much better when you play the real game, not a BL version of the game.

NOTE: I was being sarcastic about making a Halo server, so don't try flaming me for that.

I added discoverFile to avoid the slowdown from the setModPaths(getModPaths()); hack, so its best to just use that command for a bunch of files instead of refreshing essentially the entire resource manager.

How do I use that? Do I say discoverFile("/Add-ons/<MOD NAME>/.server.cs"); ?

i think packaged items don't refresh well... the game kept giving me an error at the "activatepackage" part.

Though I thought this was impossible, I see that Iban and Pedgi are updated their server every once in a while without shutting the server down. It'll show in the chat box that something has been changed or added or something. How do you do this?

There has to be a reason that RTB and Retail Fail each topic. I am thinking about editing the current version of CityRP and making it better than what it is, and I don't mean better as in more jobs and done. I mean doing something similar to Iban's and Diggy's CityRP.

The fun part of CityRP is you can make it a TDM, Cops v Robbers, RPG, or anything you wish. I go to those servers just to kill people and take their money.

If I try making this, and ask for any help, no one will help me because of the whole issue. I plan on making a CityRP that does the following:

  • No Self Deletes with wanted level
  • Drop money on death
  • Fire burns buildings down
  • Cops have to bring the criminals health down before jailing
  • education
  • City has resources, each item bought reduces resources
  • People are invincible for 5sec after spawn
  • Random Floods
  • If criminal is caught within 1 "hour" of stealing, victim gets money back
  • Military units is a police type job, except can only catch 5-star criminals
  • Military units unlocks tank when criminal reaches 5-stars
1 "hour" will be about 5-10min

Read the jobs.dat in the zip.

jobs.dat does not show what each item is recognized as.

It sounds to me like you are a handicapped expert. How about you think before you post.

On Topic: To have a person spawn with a gun, add gunItem to the tools line.

The tools line for a criminal with a gun could be:
tools hammerItem wrenchItem printGun gunItem

Just type the name of the item, without spaces, and add item to the end of it. there is a few exceptions like the printGun. I am unsure about the others.
