I'd just like to remind everyone that Yenola had a meltdown and "left the forum forever" like 2 weeks ago http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?action=profile;u=85032 this is hardly the distant past.  Anyone who would sit there and be lectured by this kid is a fool.

you're no better than your underlings, I see?  Dismiss an entire message because of the presenter.  I mean surely, that's not irregular, is it?  It's not like people give messages around the world every day who have done bad things, and are accepted.  What about Michael Vick?  Should he not be allowed to help in dog shelters (which he is doing atm), I mean surely that was a wrong decision to let him, for forgets sake look at his past!  Noone can change, that's impossible!

You're as pathetic as the lowest of your community, and no, I'm not flaming you or your community, I simply pointing out a link between you and the scum of said community.

Next time don't walk in nonchalantly and attempt to be all edgy and cool, come with real information and a reasonable and valid retort.

there's no connection between what OP is talking about and what you quoted.
It falls under the same thought process, I gave a bit too far exclusive example

I agree with the example Kalphiter posted

3
so I was wondering what the forums thoughts on the 7870 was.

Excluding the fact it's AMD's least power/performance ratio, what do you guys think of it?

4
why are you even still on the forums?
thanks for being the first post, can we not bring me up and keep that in some other topic?  Let's TRY to stay on track instead of dismissing what I say

That is not correct. And is merely a marketing tool used by those companies. It has never been proven that matching Brand GPU and CPUs run better together.

Nvidia and AMD have contracted many many manufacturers and to say that that the brands work together is like saying that matching brand alkaline batteries work better together.

I strongly believe that I am correct, as I've tested things fairly thoroughly myself, but it might be other factors.

I won't argue the point any further

Alright, so lately I've seen one entirely aggravating excuse bandwagon its way around the community.

"It's not his/her job, so therefore they don't have to do it"

Something along the lines of that, let's break it down first before I go off on a rant.

You're implying that because a person is not obligated by anything other than morals or respect, they don't have to do it.  Factually, you are correct.  Ethically, you couldn't be farther from the truth.

This community has always (in my mind) had a /different/ way of thinking about things, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.  This example, much for the worse.  You guys have turned legitimately valid drama's into backfires simply because of this stuffty excuse.  Just because a person is not obligated to do something doesn't mean they shouldn't at least attempt at doing it or even let the person know they aren't.

Also, for all of your advice, this is not exclusive to the Badspot not responding to emails, I've seen this show up in plenty other topics/dramas.  You dismiss the entire point based around this ideal.

To me, this isn't right and you guys should really stop bandwagoning this kind of stuff in the forums.

And no, this isn't me saying I don't want to play the game anymore, Badspot.  Please don't loving ban me because I spoke out against the 'norm' of the forums once again.  If there are any blatant rules broken, they were unintentional and I would fix it, however edit isn't really here.  Thanks

Drama / Re: Badspot

why are so many people hating badspot lately?
He's a human, he has flaws, some of us find those flaws to be annoying, therefore we attempt to let him know so he might change them

Is that not a normal thing, or something?

Pretty sure that's not correct.

Also yes get a cooler now, even without overclocking, during gaming the i7-3770k can get pretty hot on a stock cooler. Not to mention that it makes more noise.
Pretty sure it is, I've used both combinations and I've used mismatched ones as well, the ones I suggested do indeed work better together, especially AMD/AMD

And no, he doesn't need one, the stock cooler on the i7-3770 is perfectly fine, it runs quiet and cool, there's no need to put money into one

Also so i don't need a cooler? im not overclocking at the moment so i don't know if i need a k series or not
It's better to pick up the k series just in case you ever decided to OC, also stick with either nvidia/intel or amd/amd for the GPU/CPU combinations, they tend to work better together.

You won't need a cooler RIGHT now if you don't plan on OC'ing straight away, but I would advise one before you do.

Noone is going to point out the fact he has an open case 5400 RPM hard drive as his only storage device?  Really?

You all realize after he fills that thing half way and day to day usage kicks in, that thing is going to take 4 hours to search the entire C:/ index

Swap it out for a lower storage 7200 RPM hdd or get an SSD to run Windows and other important programs on, alongside the HDD

You guys need to realize Badspot knows what he's doing, he wouldn't have used GLSL if he knew another method would perform in a better way.  Switching our lighting would literally just be going back and redoing something that was done right the first time, not being able to render more than 8 lights at a time isn't a huge deal unless you're playing a large city map or something.

My only question is, if the sun flare doesn't count as a light then why can't we create the same light on bricks, therefore avoiding the limit?

I mean if you currently don't own a PC and need to purchase one, yeah it'll run and do basic tasks, but don't even think about expecting anything near gaming.

Your best bet is to wait and save up a little more money until you can buy something worthwhile.

Upgrading this PC isn't going to help you at all.

There is no reason for anyone who has discovered the support@blockland.us email address from the http;//www.blockland.us Support page to have never have heard of Lost Key Recovery. More importantly, it is above the contact information.

However, most people search for the ways to contact support before the search FAQ's and the such, he could've easily skimmed right over Key Recovery then seen the email, and if he doesn't have his email then key recover isn't going to help him anyways
