Welcome to a Land you’ll never want to leave!
Villagers and Heroes is a free-to-play MMO Game in which players will experience not just the thrill of battling unique monsters or the satisfaction of tailoring an exquisite robe, but the pleasure of building lasting friendships within a community that truly embraces its members. The game has something to offer everyone, including the opportunity to live a fantastical life that never felt so real. You can have it all!

Adventure!
Mysterious quests and terrifying foes await those brave heroes who choose to test their combat skills in a vastly different array of increasingly challenging zones. Whether fighting solo or with a group of friends, the monsters of V&H will test the minds and strengths of even the most hardened of players.

Crafting!
Player-customized outfits and weapons — no other game provides as much unique customization as the crafting in Villagers and Heroes. You can forge powerful swords for you and your friends, weave mystical robes, cook enchanted concoctions from the huckleberries you plucked from your garden, and most of all, customize all your clothing and gear so it looks exactly how you want it, and enchanted with exactly the spells and abilities you choose.

A Home in a Village!
You are the architect, the farmer, and the rancher. With a wide range of building styles to choose from, players can design and decorate their own houses, as well as choose which crops to plant in their garden, or select the type of animals they'd most like to raise. But players needn't go at it alone! Help your village grow from a tiny hamlet to a thriving metropolis by aiding your neighbors with community projects which will ultimately benefit every player alike.

A Lifestyle!
Everything matters in the V&H world, and it's all connected. The first seed planted in your garden will yield valuable crops, which will in turn provide nourishment for your character who will grow stronger in combat as a result. Or the better tended your sheep, the higher quality of wool with which to spin a magical tunic with. The possibilities are endless, and there are no restrictions except for players to simply live amongst friends and have fun.

Off Topic / Had the best day at the range today.
« on: April 13, 2014, 12:44:08 PM »
I've been doing archery for like a few months now but today was probably the best day I've had.
It started out on the 30 yard standard target. I spent about 20 minutes shooting it until I noticed the target next to it had a 1/4 sheet on it (a 1/4 of a full sized one) so I started shooting it.
Really proud of my grouping today, spent the next three hours on that target.

You may remember back in January I mentioned I was going to the USA (thread: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=250240.0)
Well its finally happening! I've paid some monies to an agency that organise trips to work at summer camps and I've been contacted by a camp in Massachusetts!
I got myself a 4 month visa so I'll be travelling about, I'll be going to visit Tokerovin in NY too!

Off Topic / Need 'pranks' to do while family goes away.
« on: April 01, 2014, 12:30:18 PM »
Due to disputes with my family, I don't go on vacation with them any more.
They're soon to be going to Venice and I will have the whole house to myself for a week.
Other than loving bitches and throwing parties (as you would expect) I want them to have a welcome home present.

So I need some ideas of things to do while they're away. So far the only thing I can think of doing is changing every family picture into a picture of nick cage.
I need some good suggestions. Nothing like stuff smearing their bedroom walls, like funny pranks which aren't too much damage.
My cousin told me that when he was in the same position as me when he was my age, he drove his motorbike through the house, took all the doors of their hinges and made a big halfpipe in his living room.
So yeah, I need some good ideas. I will list them below.

  • Change every photo in the house to Nicholas Cage
  • Fill parents bedroom with a stuff-ton of baloons
  • Post tiny photos of yourself in strange places around the house.
  • Hanging pirate flag outside my window on top floor exterior

Games / Need advice on buying PS3 games.
« on: March 25, 2014, 08:44:05 AM »
Recently I've realised all my PS3 games are pretty old and I really miss being able to play with a controller rather than a keyboard and mouse.
I need advice on games for ps3, I tend to like open world/ creative / progressive / survival

Games I already have and want to find simmilar games for the PS3;
DayZ
GTA V
Rust
Mount and Blade

I was just wondering if I am not alone with this.
I feel that when I play Blockland my personality actually changes. I wouldn't go far as to say that I am a keyboard warrior online, but I guess I am more egotastical and more of a richardhead online.
If you talk to some people I have on facebook/snapchat/whatsapp/skype that I am actually different in real life?
This all sounds kinda stupid I guess, but when I go onto blockland, a game I'd have played for 7 years next month, my personality changes dramatically.

Furdle =/= Max

Discuss, I guess?

Off Topic / I bought a bow today
« on: March 21, 2014, 02:21:36 PM »
Bought this bad mother forgeter today from an archery shop.
Also saw the bow used in Avengers and Hunger Games they had on display :o

327 British Pound equals 539.35 US Dollar (google monies translate)

Sorry for the stuffty quality photo, my room light is a bit of a weird yellow colour, so you cant see how nice the arrows are but they're a really nice aluminium 27", arm guard is a metallic (shiny) red. the limbs are premium+, which is why the bow is so expensive, the riser cost about half the price, arrows were about £40 for an 8 set.
it pulls 26 pounds, I got it with the red dot sight, problem is that I haven't bothered to learn to drive so I have to cycle the bow while its taken apart in a huge hiking bag :L kinda inconvienient

double pasta

Some pictures from today.

20 yard grouping, trying to calibrate the sight and get used to the new bow.

Project Concept:
Medieval Survival RPG.
The player spawns in a medieval land into a town occupied by bots acting as vendors for the adventurers to sell their loot.
A few kingdoms lay in the lands, empty and waiting for players.
The spawn town is primarily peaceful, as players will be unable to attack each other or the vendor bots.
This mod will require a GUI, complete with some kind of system to joining a kingdom, the kingdom leader and kingdom politics. The whole game mode will be focused on the politics of the (three?) kingdoms, each with their own colour.
On the top of the screen, there is a HUD displaying the "points" (this could be related to kills or maybe a 'king of the hill' style resource gathering)
There will be bots walking around, Bandits and what-not, which will drop items used to craft a blade.
Part of the gui will be to work on swords, bows, spears, maces, warhammers.
enemy NPC's will drop items such as "Leather and Wood Hilt" Which could be used to craft a melee weapon.
The player will spawn with a bow and get to chose from a variety of melee weapons (the ones listed above)
Throughout the game they will collect different pieces of the craftable weapons to increase the weapons abilities, for instance, a new blade will increase damage, a new hilt may increase speed, a hilt relic may increase critical chance.
If you die, you lose everything and start again.
This may cause rage quitters, but it'll really give you that scared feel in combat which I guess is the most realistic scared feeling you can get in an online FPS game.
Each kingdom will have their own market and a bank, which players can sell items they find and store their cash and items.

Updates:
Well there's going to be three races, Elf, Dwarf, and Human.

Each will have a different kind of kingdom. Dwarves will have an enclosed mountain kingdom, the Elves will live in a castle sitting above steep rocks and the Humans will have a castle kingdom.
The map is a perfect circle, a 'disc world' if you fall off, you float into eternity.

Progress on the terrain is at about 70%, with most of it done in a day I'm sure we will definitely be finished in a few days on the terrain side of things. We are using 8x cubes to make flat land scape, with a few hills and interesting features.
I want to compliment the minimalistic and un-detailed terrain with beautiful buildings with a high level of detail on the interior and exterior.
We are currently working on the mod with a unique AI system and a weapon crafting system (shown on page 2)
After two days of building, the whole terrain is completed.
Extremely good progress, great to see lots of builders wanting to help!

Thanks Jakeblade for these helmets, they're ready to add into the mod once we've received them :)
Green for Elf,
Blue for Human,
Red for Dwarf.
This is our final result for the HUD (not photoshopped)
Thanks for Xenos for making this, it looks so cool!
the GUI is being made and I will hopefully be able to give details soon, but I can tell you now, I'll be similar to the example one I created in photoshop.

This is a real image of the GUI currently being produced by Jes00
I seriously cannot believe how perfect it is to my example I made last week!
Good job everyone! The build is coming along nicely and it looks like the mod is too!

General Discussion / Have a free concept: Medieval Survival RPG
« on: March 17, 2014, 05:00:56 PM »
So I got the original idea from Bravo's Swords of the North, and I've decided to expand on it and give my spin on it.
There's a great lack of quality servers on Blockland. I personally do not want to create this server (due to effort to find a scripter and builders that are actually committed)
However I do not want the idea to go to waste, so I am sharing it with the forums in the hope that someone may be able to pick it up and perhaps give their spin on the idea, which if asked I may help build on.
I wrote this a while ago on a titanpad (Something I regularly use to plan servers) so you'll have to excuse the layout (or lack of it)

A few kingdoms lay in the lands, empty and waiting for players. Occupying these kingdoms will present a benefit to players (Idea needs expansion)
The spawn town is primarily peaceful, as players will be unable to attack each other or the vendor bots.

Please remember, this is an early concept of this game. Feel free to use it but please remember to credit me in original concept.
I would be willing to help build if you have a good scripter to work on this.

General Discussion / Things you will see from me in the future.
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:14:42 PM »
Hello everyone.
Due to some problems lately, I haven't been able to work on stuff. RTB going down was a major setback as now I cant really work on many projects with friends in different timezones, and production has been slacking horribly.
Currently I have two active projects,

Furdle's Grand Theft Auto
http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=250365.0

Furdle's Pirate RPG
http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=252873.0

I want to explain to the community WHY production has been slowed down and why it isn't completely RTB's fault.

The GTA project has been something I am very inspired about, unless you're in my close circle of friends, you probably haven't played the current mod. I do understand the server did get a lot of flak about it being unfinished, although I did explain twice before you even spawn that it is in alpha. The current mod has many features which will resemble a city RPG (in case you're wondering, the mod was made by scratch from Jack Noir) The build definitely has the GTA feel for it and its a project I want to finish. I am waiting for more progression from Jack Noir, who is very busy currently with his personal life, but once the mod in nearly complete, I'll be posting more on that topic (or maybe making a new one if its too old)

The Pirate RPG is one of my best builds. The detail I put into the port is incredible and I am proud of it. I wanted to make it a community project, using VCE and my friends to create a nice RPG with quests to host as a non-dedi server (as the bots dont work in a dedi) This project is going well, I've got a lot of help from friends, but sadly I didn't get much interest from people who wanted to help. I will probably continue it on later once I get more inspiration.

I still hold my gaurentee of never abandoning a project. I'd like to thank all my friends who have helped me out so far, and I hope to have a great rest of the year.

Off Topic / What would you do if you had a lot of spare time.
« on: March 15, 2014, 06:47:45 PM »
Firstly, let me state this isn't a stuffpost like "WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A MILLION DOLLARS?!"
This is serious.
I have come to realise I am not doing much in my life except go to clubs, sleep, eat, poop and play computer games.
I have a social life, yet all my friends have jobs and I dont.
I've come to that age where most of my friends have finished college and a few are still studying, but they dont have time for a social life, so I spend most of my days playing games and then going out on the weekends and having a good time.
However, I need something to do in the week days. I am looking for a job, but its hard since there are no job vacancy's near me. I have pretty much most days free and savings of about £7,000/$10,000 but I would like to try and not spend any of it (due to savings for a swaggy car)

tl;dr
what would you do if you had a lot of spare time.
