So I really like trains as some of you guys may know, it even says Engineer under my forum name.


LONG STORY ABOUT WHY AND WHAT AND SUCH
Anyways, I like to build trains. I really do. I love it in fact. I've made trains before Warning: contains badly made trains. But those were bad. Their badness was caused by 2 reasons. One: I was stuff at building stuff back then, and two: I used 8 wide trains. Now 8 wide is a lot better than the crap 6 studs some people use, but it's still horrbly small for blockhead scale, and it doesn't fit any detail whatsoever.

So my new, good trains have two advantages: I'm less stuff at building, and I went ahead and took a nice fat 11 studs for their width. The fact the width is odd makes centered details a lot better. Things like headlights and frames for the windshields.

Ok so I'm pretty passionate about trains, but not just any trains. Nono, Dutch trains. Other trains are fine too, but I just like my own countries train a little more. This makes it so most of the forgetton of trains below are Dutch. But to accomodate blockland's mainly American audience I threw in a couple of American trains too for good measure. There's even 2 British trains in there.

Help / Blockland's screen resolution forgeted up (again)

So while joining Conan's server I acidentally hit a stuffton of buttons trying to type 'Hi.'
This toggled blockland to fullscreen somehow, and when I put it back it was in a 640x480 window.

Now I have 3 monitors and I play Blockland on one, the middle one.
I play it windowed in exactly 1920x1060, so the top border of the window doesn't hide the bottom part of the screen.

I use setres(1920, 1060); for this, which worked fine.
However, Blockland just decided to go full brown town on me and not allow horizontal resolutions above 1400. Vertical is fine.
The maximum resolution is 1400x1050. This leads me to believe Blockland thinks I have one single 4:3 monitor while I have three 16:9 monitors.
The console also says 'can't switch to resolution larger than desktop in windowed mode', which leads me to believe the console is mentally handicapped. It says 1400 is the maximum while I actually have 5760 pixels, which is over 4 times more.

Please help, I literally cannot and will not play like this.

All I need is a 1920x1060 resolution like I had the past 4 years without issue.

I've had this brick in the past that was just a regular 1x1 brick with 4 printable sides (each side same print ofc). Can't find it anywhere now, and would really appreciate it if someone still has it.

Add-Ons / [v1.1] Another BLB door set

So in my ongoing effort to purge the torkraping evil that is JVS I'm making more BLB replacements to make it truly obsolete.

This is my 3rd pack (first one: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=263148.0 ; second one: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=268823.0), and will be regularly expanded. Feel free to request doors in the replies in this thread.
This pack currently contains a manhole and a space door. These are models made from scratch and not some stuffty JVS-port. Also the space door is x6 height and the manhole is 6x6.

Add-Ons / Stair railing brick: Now with x1 railing!

This is an oddly specific brick I needed, but I might as well release it if anyone happens to need it.
It's a pole-brick compatible handrailing for stairs that goes up exactly 1 brick every 2 bricks it goes forwards. This means the railing is under the very specific angle of 30.964 degrees or 0.540 radians. If you need a railing under the angle of 30.965 degrees you can forget off.

So the steep x8 corners are forgeted up for me, and I could verify the game cache but I don't want to risk Steam loving up all of my settings or default stuff I changed.
So if anyone has it (literally everyone does), could you upload it?

Suggestions & Requests / Oct tree inside transparant bricks

Seriously I wonder why out of all bricks inner faces on transparant ones don't get hidden. It looks like crap. Is it possible to hide them add-on wise or is this hardcoded into the tork game engin?

They seem to get hidden from one side, and vCIAlbe from the other. When you apply pearl FX the side gets switched.

Suggestions & Requests / Manual server preview refresh

Honestly the server preview at http://www.blockland.us/browse.php only refreshes once every ~3 days for my server, but I REALLY like the isometric images it makes. I know of /setpreviewcenter but is there also a command to force an update? If not, is it possible to make an add-on/script that does?

Off Topic / I need computer help

Ok I don't know where else to put this but this also involves Blockland so it's sort of relevant.

In most games (like 60-70%) I play that have multiplayer, I get disconnected after 1 to 5 minutes. Anything. Blockland, War Thunder, Robocraft, Teamspeak, you name it. I've opened all required ports on my router and I can host something myself in any of those games fine. Everything works fine for those first 1-5 minutes, very low ping. It's also not my internet's fault as I have over 100MB/s up and down.

Anyone have any idea what causes this? It's been bothering me with me having less time for involved games and just wanting to play a match of War Thunder/Robocraft/whatever a day.

4.42 dollars of this is Dutch-implemented forget-you tax because our government hates us.
They are now considering RAISING THIS loving TAX by 10% to SUPPORT THESE ASYLUM SEEKERS THAT ARE MOLESTING OUR WOMEN.

America, you still have a chance. Vote Annoying Orange or whatever just do anything to keep them out, our government sees us as 2nd class citizens that need to make way for the new rape-culture islam invaders.
If I said this to my government I'd be labeled a giant tribal and hate-preacher.
My sister can't go to loving school on her bycicle anymore because of these rapists. And it's not just a select few, loving over half of them are this way. 70% are males between 18-25yrs old.

THIS IS THE MOST ANY PARTY HAS EVER HAD IN THE NETHERLANDS. They would currently have 53 seats, so 3.5 times as many. A handicapped barely-Dutch speaking islam women just got elected head of the parliamant.
NEW ELECTIONS AREN'T UNTIL 2017.

Seriously, this issue is so big I'd vote any party that opposes them, even if their other views are completely loving handicapped (eg Annoying Orange).

Help / Keep disconnecting after ~5 minutes

So this happens only on some servers (I'd say about half) and it happens faster the more bricks the server has. After 5 minutes the sevrer just says 'LAG' and I have to reconnect.
My ports are forwarded and this issue is new, haven't had it happen in the past 5 years.

So I've made a plane some time ago that I posted about in the DOF topic a bit. It's finished now, so I thought I'd show it off here.
