Games / Paladins - its overwatch but free

thank you charlesspeaking for taking a forgetton of time out to edit my various mistakes in this

i've recently started playing paladins and its good so i figured it deserves a thread here because its different enough from overwatch that i can't post my paladins accomplishments in the overwatch thread

What is it?
Its Overwatch but free. You chose a character out of 18 and kill people. I'm not sure if there's a backstory but even if there is who cares its probably not as good as Overwatch's lore anyways.

There's three different gamemodes:
1. Casual capture the point. In this gamemode you capture a point and then push a payload to the enemy's base if you successfuly capture the point. This is the Overwatch gamemode. Class selection is different from Overwatch though, because you can't have more than 1 of the same character on a team, and there's only 5 players per team. This means you can't pick 6 Winstons like you can in Overwatch.

2. Casual Payload. In this gamemode there is only the payload -- no capture point -- and you have to push it along like TF2. You have a certain time frame to push it, and there's no payload checkpoints that increase this time limit.

3. Competitive. Its just like casual capture the point but only good players are allowed in. To play competitive, you need to level up 12 of your characters to at least level 4 (note: this takes a long ass time. it took me about 24 hours to rank up 12 characters to level 4). There is a class selection gimmick though: Only 1 or 2 players can select their class at a time, which gives your team time to plan what characters they want to pick (theoretically anyways, none of the teams i played on actually talked strategy). In addition to this, you can see the characters your enemy picks and you can't pick characters they already chose.

There's also a custom server gamemode where you can host your own servers but nobody cares about that.


This is different to Overwatch because some of the characters are different (although most are very similar to preexisting Overwatch heros), but moreso because of its card system. Cards provide various buffs for your character and can be swapped out for others. For instance, you could build a card deck for a character that makes themselves dash faster and makes their various abilites recharge quicker. These cards can amplify efficient playstyles and allow players to play as good as they possibly can. If you want a more in-depth brown townysis, watch this.

You can also buy perks for your character while in the match. You can make your character regen health for every kill, or make them move faster, or make them do more damage to shields, etc. To purchase a perk you need credits, and credits are gained in the match based on the amount of things you do. If you do a good amount of shielding as a Reinhardt-like character, you'll get credits. If you do a forgetton of damage, you'll get credits. You'll get credits while you heal teammates. Credits are really easy to earn if you're decent at playing any character.


Champions/Heros
There's 18 different characters to chose from, sorted into 4 different classes: Frontline, damage, support, and flank. Note: I've never played Overwatch but I have tried to include the Overwatch equivalents of these characters in my list.


Frontline Champions:

Name: Barik
Overwatch Equivalent: Torbjörn
Description: Has a shotgun that deals 600 damage per hit.
Meant to push forward using his turrets and shields.
Abilities: Can place turrets and a stationary Reinhardt-esque shield. Also has a dash ability to run away like a bitch.
Ultimate: His ultimate places a spherical shield with a flamethrower turret inside.


Name: Fernando
Overwatch Equivalent: Reinhardt
Description: Has a flamethrower that deals 300 damage per second and has a bigass shield exactly like Reinhardt's.
Meant to push forward due to his high hp and his shield that protects teammates from damage.
Abilities: Has a fireball attack that launches a 450 damage fireball at others and a charge that isn't like Reinhardt's but is more of a dash.
Ultimate: His ultimate makes it so that nearby teammates and himself cannot be brought below 1500 hp.


Name: Makoa
Overwatch Equivalent: Roadhog
Description: Has a cannon that shoots non-explosive cannonballs that deal 600 damage per second, and a right-click grapple hook that brings enemies to like like Roadhog.
Meant to head an assault/stay on the objective due to his huge amount of hp.
Abilities: Has a spherical  shield that protects himself and teammates from damage. Also has a shell spin dash that damages enemies on hit and launches him forwards.
Ultimate: His ultimate gives him +5000 hp and a melee weapon that does 600 damage on hit. Note: he can still use his grappling hook during his ult.


Name: Ruckus
Overwatch Equivalent: D.Va
Description: Has miniguns that deals 1325 damage per second and has a forgetton of hp.
Meant to head an assault and die because he doesn't actually have that much hp.
Abilities: Has a shield that protects him from damage and a buff that boosts the defenses of nearby teammates. Also has a dash that allows him to move in any direction quickly.
Ultimate: His ultimate gives him rockets and basically allows him to kill the entire enemy team.



Damage Champions:

Name: Viktor
Overwatch Equivalent: Soldier 76
Description: Has a machine gun with right-click iron sights that improves accuracy.
Meant to deal a stuffton of damage.
Abilities: Can sprint forever, but can't shoot, and also has a grenade that does up to 750.
Ultimate: His ultimate gives him a pair of binoculars that you use to mark targets for an airstrike.


Name: Kinessa
Overwatch Equivalent: Widowmaker
Description: Has a sniper rifle that deals up to 1000 damage and doubles as a carbine while not scoped in.
Scoping in charges your sniper rifle up like TF2 but a lot quicker and deals a forgetton of damage on hit.
Meant to kill stuff.
Abilities: Mines that slow people down and a tiny throwable spaceship that teleports her to a specific location.
Ultimate: Her ultimate allows her to charge up her scope shot twice as fast and deal 50% more damage on headshots.


Name: Drogoz
Overwatch Equivalent: Pharah
Description: Has a rocket launcher that deals 950 damage per hit. Has a jetpack that allows him to boost up into the air by holding the jump button.
Also has a spit ability on right-click that deals 150 damage and makes enemies take an additional 30% damage for 4 seconds.
Meant to kill stuff.
Abilities: His abilities include a jetpack booster which shoots him upwards.
Also has an attack that loads up all your rockets at once and fires them beggars bazooka style, but deals less damage.
Ultimate: His ultimate makes him rocket forward demoknight/reinhardt style and instantly kills enemies on hit.


Name: Cassie
Overwatch Equivalent: Hanzo
Description: Has a bow and arrow that deals 700 damage on hit and fires every 0.75 seconds so yeah she's op.
Meant to kill stuff.
Abilities: Has a shot that knocks an enemy backwards on direct hit and a low-damage explosive shot that reduces enemy healing by 50% for 3 seconds.
Also has a dash to get away from close scrapes.
Ultimate: Her ultimate gives everybody on her team wallhacks for 8 seconds.


Name: Bomb King
Overwatch Equivalent: Junkrat
Description: Has sticky bombs that deal up to 900 damage that he can throw every half second and remotely detonate.
Meant to deny the enemy area using his stun bombs and knockback bombs.
Abilities: Has a big bomb that stuns enemies nearby on explosion and a knock back bomb that sends enemies and you flying across the map.
Ultimate: His ultimate turns him into a bigass bomb that he can roll around with and explode to stun/damage enemies.


Support Champions:

Name: Mal'damba
Overwatch Equivalent: ???
Description: Has a cobra that spits stuff that deals up to 900 damage per second.
Reloading the cobra makes the hero throw it at others which deals up to 550 damage and stuns enemies for 1 second what the forget is that even.
Has a right-click ability that makes him dash forward, making him unhittable for half a second during the dash.
Meant to heal the team.
Abilities: Can heal players individually for 280 health per second for a total of 5 seconds.
Also can throw down a puddle of venom that heals allies for 280 health per second and damages enemies for 200 per second.
Ultimate: His ultimate throws a jar that fears enemies which removes control from their character and forces them to run away.
Also makes them take an additional 20% damage.


Name: Grohk
Overwatch Equivalent: ???
Description: Has a laser beam that deals up to 850 damage per second.
Meant to heal the team and provide damage.
Abilities: Has a totem pole that he can place that will heal teammates for 340 hp every second for 6 seconds.
Also has an ability that makes him faster and undamageable for 1.5 seconds.
Ultimate: His ultimate damages nearby enemies for 200, and heals nearby teammates for 1000 hp per second and speeds them up as well. It lasts 3 seconds.


Name: Grover
Overwatch Equivalent: ???
Description: Has an axe that deals up to 1200 damage depending on distance, and has a right-click ability that throws an axe that slows down players.
Also heals nearby teammates for about 50 health per second.
Meant to heal the team and provide damage.
Abilities: Has a heal ability that heals him and nearby teammates for 1000 hp instantly, and has a grappling vine that pulls him to where ever he aims.
Ultimate: His ultimate heals nearby teammates for 2500 health per second for 5 seconds.


Name: Pip
Overwatch Equivalent: ???
Description: Has a cannon that fires every second and deals up to 600 damage in an area on hit, and has a right-click ability that deals 150 damage and slows enemies.
Meant to heal the team.
Abilities: Has a heal flask that heals nearby teammates for 1000 hp when it explodes. Also has an ability that makes him jump higher for 3 seconds and removes all debuffs.
Ultimate: His ultimate is a flask that turns nearby enemies into chickens on explosion. You're not going to see that in Overwatch for forgetin sure.


Name: Ying
Overwatch Equivalent: ???
Description: Has a laser beam that fires in short bursts that deals up to 950 damage per second.
Also has a right-click ability that makes all her illusions chase down enemies and Self Delete bomb them.
Meant to heal the team.
Abilities: Can create multiple illusions of herself that heal a nearby ally for 400 hp per second. Also can swap places with the illusion placed the furthest away.
Ultimate: Her ultimate makes all allies heal for 400 health per second for who knows long the developers certainly don't thanks wiki.


Flank Champions:

Name: Skye
Overwatch Equivalent: Tracer
Description: Has a "wrist-mounted energy crossbow" that deals up to 1500 damage per second (bad over long range however), and has a right-click ability that makes an enemy heal for 50% less for 3 seconds and deals a good amount of damage.
Meant to flank the enemy and be a distraction.
Abilities: Has a smoke screen that hides teammates and yourself from enemies if they're in it.
Also can enter a cloaked state for 3.5 seconds, but enemies can see you if they're close to you.
Ultimate: Her ultimate places a bomb that deals 3000 damage to nearby enemies and destroys any shields placed nearby as well.


Name: Evie
Overwatch Equivalent: Mei
Description: Has an ice staff that fires slow moving rockets every second that deal up to 930 damage.
Also has a right-click ability that turns her into an ice cube that heals her and makes her undamageable and marks enemies and slows enemies. If enemies are marked, your ice staff deals 30% more damage to them.
Meant to flank the enemy and be a distraction and be the most annoying character in the game personality-wise.
Abilities: Has an ability that makes her fly around the map, using her ice staff like a witch's broom.
Also has a blink ability that teleports her forward a short distance and increases her damage output by 30% for 4 seconds.
Ultimate: Her ultimate is a blizzard that slows and damages enemies for 4 seconds.


Name: Buck
Overwatch Equivalent: Buck from Rainbow Six Siege
Description: Has a shotgun that fires every 0.9 seconds and deals 520 damage if all bullets hit, and has a right-click ability that slows an enemy and makes Buck deal 30% more damage to them.
Meant to flank the enemy and be a distraction.
Abilities: Has an ability that makes him jump upwards high into the sky, and deals 350 damage to targets hit by it. Also has an ability that heals 1000 of his health over 4 seconds.
Ultimate: His ultimate resets all his abilitys' cooldowns, fills his ammo, and makes him deal double damage for 6 seconds.


Name: Androxus
Overwatch Equivalent: McCree
Description: Has a revolver that deals up to 620 damage based off distance that fires every half second, and has a right-click ability that fires 3 rounds at once dealing 300 damage per shot.
Meant to flank the enemy and be a distraction.
Abilities: Has an ability that makes him dash and can be used 3 times in a row.
Also has a shield that absorbs damage and releases 75% of it as a single explosive shot after 1.4 seconds.
Ultimate: His ultimate makes him fly for 4 seconds and allows him to fire 4 explosive shots that deal up to 1000 damage.

you better appreciate this characters section because it took 4 hours to do which was 4 hours that i could've spent playing paladins
i see why the overwatch thread characters section is incomplete now

a way to make your playerlists into images for threads n stuff via the www.garycact.us




I got bored so I made a PHP script that converts a blockland playerlist into a playerlist image that you can link in your server's thread. Here is what it looks like:


The image on the left has 16 players and the image on the right has 32. Admin rank, name, and BLID are all displayed. This would be updated automatically through an add-on that you install on your server. To create a playerlist image, you would have to configure one on my website. There are two configurations that you can have right now: tall mode and wide mode. Tall mode is shown in the images above. Wide mode is displayed below:



This is wide mode. The image at the top has 24 players, and the image at the bottom has 32, which is the fake server's limit. If your playercount exceeds half your server's max and wide mode is enabled, the script will extend the image horizontally as players fill up the playerlist image. In this fake server's case, there can be a max of 16 players on each side.

If you have any design suggestions, please put them in a post. Including a drawing of what the design would look like is recommended.

[DESCRIPTION] [FEATURES] [SCREENSHOTS] [TO-DO LIST]



Description
This utility is a way to control your blockland servers via the magic of the internet. I know that ZSNO has his own server control tool out (and it is a very good server control tool good job ZSNO), but that cannot control your servers remotely. This service can. I've actually been working on this project on-and-off for nearly 6 months, I never intended this to be a copy of ZSNO's tool.

You will be able to do various things with this tool, such as control your admin list and manage your preferences. You can also chat to people on your server and kick/ban anyone if you have to. I'm not going to go too in-depth into the features here; check out the features section of this topic if you want to know more.

Also, feel free to ask questions, I'll try to answer every single one I get.



Features
This is what you will be able to do using this service:

  • Chat with players
  • Kick/ban players
  • Unban players
  • Allow others to access your server control panel
  • Manage your admin list (also has support for managing your moderator list)
  • Manage preferences such as your e-tard filter or welcome message. The service also has support for RTB preferences, and support for Blockland Glass preferences will be implemented at some point
  • Enable/disable music or add-ons
  • Load/save bricks on your server. You'll be able to load a save that is on your server, and you'll also be able to upload a save file from your computer
  • Keep a graph of server player counts

If you're worrying about website security, don't. I know what I'm doing and I would not dare to make this public if I fear there are security holes of any kind.

This is the dashboard, which is what you'll see when you first load your server's page.


This is where you can view the server's chat. You can also ban/kick/unban people from here, as well as manage your administrator list. You can appoint moderators, but moderator-related buttons are not shown because Tournaments doesn't have a moderator add-on.


This is where you can manage your preferences, it looks barren because Tournaments does not have RTB. If it did, another box would appear where you could control your RTB preferences.


This is where you can control your add-ons/music. You will be able to upload add-ons/music in the future, but that isn't complete yet so it is not shown.


Loading/saving bricks has not been started, so I have no pictures to show for that.



To-do List
There's not much left I have to do until this service is complete. Here's the list:

  • Finish save/add-on uploading
  • Create build saving/loading
  • Make player statistics
  • Look up every security exploit possible and test my site for these exploits
  • If possible, convert the site over to the https protocol using Let's Encrypt
  • Do a closed test to root out the last bugs present
  • Make the service publicly available

tournaments is a little gamemode that i made this weekend and it is basically a deathmatch but you fight people laid out in a tournament bracket. you and the players on the server are forced to fight forever in a ton of tournament brackets that will never end you have to endure the scam and the super shotgun and the missile l and the [place meta of the day here] forever holy stuff.

Tournament Process

here's how this stuff works:
a tournament begins
you have to choose a primary and secondary weapon from a set of weapons (for now its quake, the server will have randomly picked weapon packs soon)
you are sent to a tiny map where you fight your oponent
if you win you keep going through the winners bracket
if you lose you get sent back to the lobby where you are placed into the losers bracket
if you win the losers bracket you face off against the person who won the winners bracket
repeat

this will go on automatically forever, this isn't a one time thing like some other tournament servers that blockland has seen

so i got bored one day and thought "hey the blf needs more emoticons that are cool and not cookiemonsters" so i made this

it puts a collapsible emoticon list at the bottom of any post screen, and it allows you to post any emoticon from a respiratory that i have set up on my website
if i add any new emoticons, they will automatically be put at the bottom of your screen and i have a system that allows me to add new ones quickly so if you have suggestions give them to me

you can size any of the emoticons easily using the sizing buttons at the bottom. small is 15 pixels high, normal is 25 pixels high, large is 50 pixels high, huge is 75px, and pantagruelian is 100 pixels high

don't forget to report any bugs that you find to me

suburbia is a city rpg "evolution" (even though it really isn't a city rpg anymore read the updated section i doubt that city rpgs have demon corpses), where a lot of features have been changed or remixed to be more enjoyable for the player
right now, the server is in the development stage, which means that a lot of features will probably change in the future. if you have any suggestions, please list them.

so yeah i'm using george's city rpg map from here. build quality is going to be a little more strict compared to other city rpgs because i don't want to ruin this map

this city rpg throws a lot of old boring features away from past iban city rpgs. here are some of the things that are no longer in existence in this server:

  • laborers have been removed completely, and the starting point for players has been changed so they can get to more exciting jobs quickly. you don't have to grind anymore at the start, and stuff like guns and bricks won't cost resources because honestly that is just a big pain in the ass to play with
  • education is gone. for our system, we're deciding if we should have a exp system or a "superior" system (read below) for acquiring job positions
  • dying from hunger is gone, as tophat said, dying from food is unnecessary and shouldn't be featured in something like a cityrpg. instead, food provides buffs such as moving more quickly or having more hp, making food a cool gameplay mechanic where criminals and police officers will be eating more food so they can perform better in battle
  • jobs don't spawn with free guns anymore. as a result of this, there's no more criminal jobs. you will have to purchase weapons from other players (or if you're a police officer, guns will be paid using government money. more info on that below). spawning with guns makes Flash Mobs very common, and having no guns will help keep killing sprees that city rpgs are so famous for down
  • no more pardoning Flash Mobs out of jail for only 300 bucks, instead you can either reduce your sentence using lawyers (that might not be implemented) or break people out of jail. also you won't have to be in jail for a million years either, the max jail time will be 10-15 minutes because nobody likes sitting in jail in a videogame

ok i've played panpour5's city rpg and have relearned what i hate about city rpg's and i'm posting them here so i and nobody else forgets the great sins of these iban edits

  • suburbia will not have a lot of rules (probably the only rules will be 1. read the rules and 2. don't be a cunt)
  • suburbia will not clear player builds/reset players stats only 5 days into hosting (so yes you can actually put effort into your builds without fearing their removal)
  • suburbia will not ban you for disrespecting admins
  • suburbia will not ban you for using all capital letters in your chat (yes this was an actual rule in panpour5's what the forget)
  • suburbia will not have administrators that are not mature and are furries/stealth furries
  • suburbia will not make custardo an admin (look him up in the drama section and yes he is a part of the administration on panpour5's
  • suburbia will let you have your own avatar instead of that stupid iban avatar thing
  • suburbia will have a fixed duplicator that will be impossible to exploit so yeah the duplicator will be enabled (by the way iban edit server hosters fixing that is real easy and you could do it if you put effort into your servers)
  • suburbia will have a stable server that doesn't lag out and doesn't require a restart nearly every hour
  • suburbia will have cool vehicles (not the ones that you see on most city rpg's all the time)
  • suburbia will be complete when it goes public (most city rpg servers don't seem to do this)
  • suburbia will not have the pointless grind at the beginning
  • suburbia will be fun
  • in suburbia there will be no jobs with "40 education" or any suburbian superior system equivalents that take actually takes loving 68 hours to acquire (this is a thing in panpour5's and it is possibly the worst thing ever heard)


that concludes my list that was basically only created because i was banned for panpour5's server after he cleared all the builds/reset players stats less than 5 days in for no good reason. i called one of the admins a furry (after he absolutely failed to justify the server reset (http://puu.sh/pUK7L/3a7fed88f8.jpg), the only explanation that admins gave was "blame the duplicator" more like blame the admins for letting something that can duplicate drugs without cost and its not like this was not known) because they were actually a furry and i feel as if you all should know about my bias because there is a bias present in this list

update: police alligators

police alligators are sort of like player controller attack dogs. they can attack criminals on command. this is the direct result of destroyerofblocks not wanting /crims in suburbia, which means the police alligators will locate criminals as well. they're simple: aim a gator whistle item at somebody, left click, and your alligator pal will attack them, wanted or not wanted. if they're not wanted you'll get the demerits when the alligator assaults them. right click, and your alligator will sniff out and head towards the nearest criminal.

ok so all vehicles now have engine sounds. i wasn't sure if i was going to get around to finding/coding in all the engine sounds but charles ended up doing half the work for me. the engine sounds are good.

also i'm not sure if i've mentioned this before but suburbia has a footstep mod to make walking around the island audibly interesting so there are many good sounds in suburbia

update: vehicle statistics gui

this gui will show various statistics for all the vehicles on the server to make your purchase decisions easier and informed. this gui will be opened via a button in the spawn vehicle gui that'll auto-select the vehicle you've selected in the spawn vehicle gui. everything is pretty self explanitory and there isn't anything else to this gui its just nice to have for making well informed purchase decisions
also note: the prices aren't final yes i know some vehicles are free

update: pope

the pope runs the church and is in charge of the priests that are also apart of the church. the church's main goal is to appease god via donations and human sacrifice so that god doesn't rain down super meteors or alligators equipped with machine guns. the pope can equip their priests with weapons that deal extra damage to corpse beasts and maybe druggies but that hasn't been confirmed by the game designer. the pope can also manually trigger god events that add/subtract karma which means he can control karma that way (god events are triggered automatically every 3 minutes and based on karma they'll either be good (such as money/gun rain, etc.) or they'll be bad (alligator rain, etc.)). to reduce the cooldown shown in the gif the pope can sacrifice people and the richer they are the more they'll reduce the cooldown. if you sacrifice people without the event trigger cooldown active then the sacrifices will increase karma based on how rich the sacrificees are. the pope also is in charge of hiring/firing priests.
direct interaction with god will be a rare occurance. he'll just sit there doing his events unless karma gets ridiculously low then he might scream at you or some stuff

additional notes about the pope:
- the mayor can make himself the pope via laws
- the mayor can pass laws that harm the church's interests i.e. laws that increase bad karma
- the mayor can pass laws that benefit the church i.e. donating a portion of tax money directly to the church
- the pope might be able to turn church funds into positive karma but i need to talk to destroyerofblocks about that

- anyone can donate to the church via the church's altar brick and the pope pockets 30% of the money donated that he gets to decide what to do with


ok so remember when i posted centerprint guis and everybody was like "cool" well we aren't going to be having those anymore because they are way too much work. the suburbia client will not be required to play except if you want to be the mayor/police chief/pope. i'm going to try to keep the amount of guis reduced so that people without the client can still play the game though




update: character gui

the character gui is opened via /character or through the gui buttons i showcased in a previous update. in the character gui you can view your resource inventory, your food buffs, and perks that you can choose once every 5 minutes. you drop all of your inventory on death and your food buffs also clear on death, so be careful if you're holding onto 1664 uranium like i am. food buffs can be reset via the vomit button at the bottom which clears all food buffs on your player (there's a perk that changes this so you can selectively vomit stuff up). perks are suburbia's way of getting rid of jobs because most of the bonuses that can be had in perks could've easily have been jobs but we were like screw that that'll be some bullstuff because you won't have as much freedom. here's the perk list if you're interested.

the character gui is not final but expect to see something similar to this when you play suburbia.

update: bank gui and help gui

ok so dob thought it would be a good idea to let players store their stuff in the bank like weapons and resources and food so instead of making a nightmare infobrick to use to store all your bullstuff so i made a bank gui to simplify this stuff. it automatically opens when you go to the bank/atms and lets you store your stuff. here's the description from the help section of the bank because it explains the bank better and more eloquently than i will:in addition to this you will be allowed to kill players in the bank because being told not to by rule doesn't work and is bullstuff and scripting in something that makes players take no damage in banks can be used as a cheap way to avoid being killed on the streets

so yeah that excerpt is straight from the help gui which will be included in the suburbia client to make it easier for everybody to figure out what the stuff is going on. help commands are some bullstuff because they are divided up into sections and it takes 50 hours to navigate those sections because you have to type in a different command and then page up/down through all the bullstuff to get an idea of what is going on. for the gui you just click a section on the left side and there you go there's the information you want. all suburbia gameplay mechanics will be covered in the help section and there's like 10-15 sections that haven't been added to the help gui yet hence why the image above only features several. the help gui can be accessed through the character gui which was featured in an earlier update post.




update: crafting info gui in character gui and actual crafting gui that you can use to craft stuff

ok so finals are tomorrow and i haven't really started studying yet so this will be the only update this week. today i have finished the two crafting guis though so hooray. the one on the left is a crafting info gui that you can open at any time and look at various recipes and abilities of different craftable items (items in this case meaning weapons and foods). the one on the right is the gui that you use to craft stuff and will automatically open when you approach a crafting brick. it will tell you the max amount of items you can craft once one is selected from the list on the left side of the gui and will let you craft how many items you want provided you have enough resources. if you don't have enough resources to craft one of these items a dialog box will come up telling you which ingredients you are missing. in both of the guis you will be able to look at various qualities of the item like damage or shot speed for weapons and for foods what buff it provides and how much hunger it alleviates.

at this point i think the character gui that first debuted a few weeks ago is done and looking at the to-do list i do not see anything left for the character gui or anything else on the list that will take more than a few hours to complete. but as i said at the start finals are tomorrow and end on friday so i can't afford to spend time working on suburbia unfortunately. for when this will be released i don't know i'll work on this when i feel like it but at the very forgetin most it'll be done and hosted in march. but that's a very generous amount of time for me to finish a few things that'll only take a few hours each at most.

Modification Help / unable to do "new Debris() { ... }"

so when i try to create new debris like this:

it gives me a lovely error in my console that tells me that i have failed utterly at life and i should be destroyed

i am not very knowledgeable about debris, and the appendix (see page 47) doesn't seem very knowledgeable about creating debris either, stating that the only member field for debris is "lifetime", which i have included. i'm assuming that it is failing to create because i got some important member field wrong, but i honestly have no clue

so if any of you have any clue how to create debris on demand like this please say so. i don't want to resort to using the atrocious state system that torque has in order to accomplish what i want to do
