I lost power for a about 36 hours over yesterday and today. It's back on but there's supposed to be more snow. If I randomly don't show it's because I have no electricity.

I can't figure out for the life of me how to use the opengfx and opensfx with openttd, I put them in the data folder of openttd and it didn't work so I am lost.

Alright well all of the classes were cancelled due to snow. Fortunately it only rained here so I have power. It sounds like they got 2 feet of snow about 40 minutes south of me. So I'll be here.

opengfx and opensfx come installed if you are running 1.0 and you didn't turn off their checkboxes. To install them, you need to put the entire opengfx and opensfx folders into the data folder, not just the files. You can toggle which set you use by looking on the options menu.

So the folder would be C:/Program Files/OpenTTD/data/opengfx

standard ttdlx
openttd 0.7.5, 64bit
openttd 32Bpp.r19024, 64bit
opengfx 0.2.1
opensfx 0.2.1

and the game crashes on start. no clue what im doing wrong

Just try this:

Install openttd 1.0, make sure the boxes for opensfx and open gfx are checked.

Then if you want the original graphics, read the readme for instructions on where and how to copy them. It worked for me.

Also, on my system anyway, I found playing the game in windows 7 made the startup take a while. It would stay stuck as a white empty box for a bit and then the game would finally start.
