what's overclocking a processor?

also did you ever get that tablet computer you were talking about

Nope, I held back on getting it, and saved the money that I had stored up for something else (which looks to be this). I have about $300 so far, but I'm going to most definitely be able to get enough money to buy this Alienware by the end of summer break.

Also, overclocking a processor is when you make a processor go faster than it was designed to go at. For example, I could make the 1.3 GHz processor in this laptop run at 1.8 GHz.

overclocking seems like a great way to break the processor

Well, it makes it heat up more, because it's doing more work, but as long as you overclock within reason, it won't break the processor.

Same here, but I absolutely love the Macbook Pro I'm on.

BUT CAN IT FIT IN AN ENVELOPE? NO! HAHA!
DOES IT NEED TO? NO! HAHA!

The Alienware M11x is pretty badass. I used one at PAX East, and it was about the size as a regular netbook but more powerful. It's great that Alienware is cleaning up their act and not overcharging for this thing.

EDIT:

Will probably void the warranty.
