why the hell are you updating from Windows 7 32bit to 64bitit's nothing different; just a version for a different processor, the 64bitedit:are you changing the processor?
its a HUGE difference.first of all, more memory. because having less then 4gigs of ram is pretty stuffty nowadays.second. the higher end processors and even video cards require 64bit. mostly for the 64bit directX support.
Then I suppose having 512 MB of ram is VERY stuffty? :(

...The main reason people use 64bit is its ability to utilize more RAM than 32.
You don't really need more than 5 or 6 GB...
To use all 4GB you do need 64 bit though.
