First off, studs aren't there.. Possibly flatshaded. It's a DOF screenshot, DOFs won't show names. Look on solid's DOF screenshot thread at my pictures. Verify your facts before you hurr.

You can add studs on top with UV textures...

The lighting is wrong too, it looks too bright, he probably used an image editing software to change the textures of the bricks. Also if it is real, he would have no problem releasing it right now...

Look in the background
It would be, err, what's the word, perpendicular? yeah, perpendicular or paralell to that platform in the background if it were a brick. But it is a bit diagonal.
