So, if you have played COD4 MW2 you would know that these are often called Claymores.Anyways, what it would be is an item that you can equip, you would be holding it in front of you with the "Front Toward Enemy" facing away from you. When you clicked it would be placed on the ground there and the item removed from inventory. When A player passes infront of it (This would require the object to have its own "visible area" to detect) it would explode. Now, Claymores are highly directional, so to make that effect work is there a way that the claymore would spawn an explosion that was offset from it to simulate the explosion going in only one direction?
Claymores technically don't "explode" like a normal land mine would. They are kind of like a shotgun on steroids. Shooting projectiles that are about the size of buckshot in the direction of the enemy. It is set off by a trip wire and can either A. Bring soldiers to their knees, kill solders going prone or already downed, do moderate damage so vehicles suck as jeeps and small transportation cars
