Looking for a new laptop...

It can play all of them except the L4D games.

No it should be able to handle at Left 4 Dead 2 on lesser settings, Left 4 Dead 1 on maybe even high settings.

I could run L4D1 pretty well on great settings on an AMD Athlon 3500+ 2.2 GHz single core, 2GB RAM and 8600GT.

3 GHz if you have a single core.

Dual core 2.0 GHz should run it fine.

There is a Gateway P 7805u FX Edition which is the same except the processor does 2.26Ghz but sacrifices Hard drive space.

Search "Alienware" on Craigslist. You can find some great deals there. I got the M17 (2008 model) which runs Tf2, Gmod, Half-Life 2, and Just Cause 2 on high settings, no lag. I got it for $800. It was $1800 when the seller bought it. :D (well, TF2 and Gmod will lag a little when playing online, so you sometime have to do medium settings, but whatever; it's an amazing laptop for 800.)
