have you like never used a tool or what.
I meant in the mouse.

I opened it up to see if something seemed irregular, nothing seemed to be irregular.

Holy crap just doing that seemed to fix it, thanks.

Not sure though, it did this before. May have just been a temporary fix.

Yeah didn't work for long.

Going to go to walmart tomorrow and buy a mouse.

With the new mouse the issue still apparently persists, sadly.

is it that hard to find a screwdriver.
No, it's just hard to find where to put it.

Reinstall mouse drivers.

Try a different USB port o-o

Tried it.

Reinstall mouse drivers.
This is a new mouse, new drivers. New up-to-date drivers, at that.

Not really.

Just as updating windows isn't as good as a clean install, drivers eventually malfunction if you install them over each other, instead of wiping the old ones.

Since awhile ago, my mouse sometimes apparently clicks twice in one click.

Like I click a folder once, it MAY open up on that first click.

I click a link, it MAY open up a dropdown menu.

I tried restarting my computer, no avail.

Anything?

Try cleaning your mouse, I've had this problem a few times before.

I may have actually just been inadvertently double clicking this time... I don't know.
