My hunter turned into a elite marksdwarf then got killed by a blind cave ogre 5 second after :C
How do I prevent thousands of nastys comming from underground? I was digging adamantine and
then 7 blind ogres out of nowhere started to attack everything.

Its best to have a full military when mining into the dangerous levels.

One of my dwarves made a weapon rack worth  33600 something.

What does it mean? Can I sell it to thoes traders that come? How do I use the traders?
And what does it mean when in the units menu when somebodys name is flashing from white to grey?
My miner and expedition leaders names are doing it, is it because there grand master miners?

That "something" is whatever currency is used in the game. Since it is never directly stated, people usually use the terms dwarfbucks, urists, cash or anything that could be a name for it. You can't trade artifacts, even crafts. It makes a room absurdly valuable, though. Great for high-demand nobles.

To destroy a workshop, press {q}uery and {x} for remove. Someone with the correct labor will come along and tear it down.


EDIT: Flashing names mean they are legendary in some skill, any skill, actually. Even social ones.
