I have a Phenom II X3. It turns out there was a locked fourth core. When I unlocked it, my computer did exactly this. If you unlocked another core, lock it back up. :3
me to but I had this problem with only a 3rd core so when I switched to forth core nothing changed
what probubly happend is the forth core for you caused the cpu to heat up faster
