It's probably overheating though, Use a program such as HWMonitor to monitor temps for a while.

JESUS CHRIST GOD WHAT IAAAaa

Graphics card is too hot for idling.

I'm playing sims 3 in windowed and i'm only at 60c :p

Is there anything i can do at the moment to keep it from destroying itself lol.
there's no way i can get a fan or anything anytime soon.

Open up the computer case and put a table fan next to it. That might help cool it down a bit. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is to shut it down until you get a new fan or somethin.

Overheating for sure. It could also be failing HDD.

In my experience, it could possibly be 1 of these two things.
one, your power supply does not provide enough power to function properly, or two, your computer is overheating and shutting itself down to protect itself.

I just open my case and put my fan next to it, works just fine.

Blowing wind inside PC with a regular table fan is highly not recommended.

I had this same problem here is what I did

some bioses have a setting were the computers fan will speed up as the computer gets hotter whitch is stupid (this setting for some reason includes the possessor fan)
if you change the setting to make the fan run full all the time it will work better

If this does not fix it try getting new possessor cooling gell for your heatsink

I have a Phenom II X3. It turns out there was a locked fourth core. When I unlocked it, my computer did exactly this. If you unlocked another core, lock it back up. :3
