Author Topic: Computer randomly shuts down, help D: (Read 1349 times)

This has been going on for a while now and I've been ignoring it but now it's really loving annoying and i want to fix it. Whenever i'm playing a game, my computer shuts down with no warning or anything, just turns off. Sometimes i won't even be playing a game when it happens. It's not that often, but when it happens it's annoying as forget. Anyone know anything about this and what i should do. if you need specs or some stuff like that i'll gladly post them.

Go into Event Viewer and look for "Critical Events."

~~this belongs in help~~ Probably your computer is overheating because you're using it too much, that's what the problem was when I had this problem.

I had this problem when my old computer was overheating, the Graphics Card fan went out, and I never really decided to try to fix it. So eventually, my card fried.
I suggest leaving it off for a while. Maybe inspecting that the fans are working properly.

Computer decides your motherboard is getting too hot and saves itself by shutting down.
Buy a fan.

Does it just shut off out of nowhere or does it give you a warning/close programs first? Probably ~~lovey~~ hot computer.

Edit: Did you check parental shut down timer things? Is the Windows update auto shutdown loving up? Idunno.
