3D stud plate bricks

I always thought it would be cool to have non-colliding 3d studs automatically rendered by the engine.

No dumby, I am talking about actual blockland bricks, not these.

I want blockland RETAIL 3d bricks, not blockland vanilla 3d bricks

Even if you use retail's version of studs, doing this would add 5120 faces to just a single 32x32f. And, if you want to add the things to the bottom so that the studs have somewhere to go, that is 25606 faces on a single 32x32 plate brick. That is the equivalent of 4266 bricks without fancy studs, and, without the bottom stud acceptor thing, that is 853 CBU (Current Brick Units) per fancy-brick.

Also, I think it would look bad.
