I've been meaning to do one of these for around 4 years.

Little more than 24 hours to go. Not much visually has changed with our game, but attacking / conversion works, which in itself is a huge mechanism of the game. Working on component formations, so when you move them somewhere they actually form into a usable group instead of random places they end up. Incorporating some new models, then working on the map.

Like the NaNoWriMo of Game Design?

Another update: Ludum Dare Compo has ended. Ludum Dare Jam has 21 hours left.

Map is in progress, pathfinding is having some tune ups. You'd be surprised how hard AI is to make. Backend systems are finishing up, everything is coming together for these last 20 hours or so for debugging and content additions.
