Author Topic: New Runescape Combat System?  (Read 2343 times)

2006? the combat has never really changed from 2001-today even.
why would anyone think it was any diff in 2006?
Nostalgia.

Nostalgia.

the combat has NOT changed since 2001!
there is nothing to nostalgia over. you play the game right now, its the same as the day the game launched back in runescape classic even

You're right mostly, but a lot of new elements have been implanted regarding the combat system since then, and not just items.

Disease is really something they'be neglected. I think it only shows up in that zogre quest.

2006scape is a lot different from real runescape today because. 1: graphics are older in 2006scape (more nostalgia) and it is exactly what it was in 2006. 2: I am in the pre-alpha only to get rares like partyhats.

The only thing that's changed is they made damage different.

For instance, what 1 used to be would now be 1-10 or something. I'm not sure how exactly it's changed, you just do more damage now.

I guess to make it easier or something? I don't know.

you can hit at smaller increments, making 0's less common. they also did a lot in the terms of how you deal with certain circumstances like poison.

i really hope they showcase disease more, you only see it in one quest, and the only way to catch the disease was to take a hit from one of the non hostile zogres.

i'm talking about the current hitpoints system compared to the old one. i think the new combat is going to be more fast paced, and hopefully not turn based.
