COMING SEPTEMBER 18TH In case you've been living under a rock: THAT IS SIX DAYS AWAY CLASSES Salvador: Salvador's Main action skill "gunzerking" is perfect for players dying to wield two guns at once and fill their enemies with twice the amount of hot lead than was previously possible. His rampage and gun lust trees up the ante by boosting his dual wielding skills and amping up weapon stats. The brawn skill tree is all about bumping up the amount of damage Salvador can take and dish out. Maya: Maya's skill gives her the ability to suspend foes in a bubble of energy. This can lock an opponent in a stasis, and can be upgraded to provide various damaging effects. This skill is useful for crowd control in both co-op and single player mode. Repeatedly Phaselocking the same enemy results in diminishing returns. Zer0: Decepti0n grants Zer0 the ability to deploy a holographic decoy of himself and enter an invisible "stealth mode." While cloaked, he can maneuver about the battlefield dealing amplified damage on his next attack. The longer Zer0 stays cloaked the more damage he can inflict to enemies; however, the shorter Zer0 stays cloaked, the sooner he is able to use the skill again. Zer0 does not enter a separate dimension, like Lilith when she Phasewalks, and can still take damage from grenades and other forms of splash damage while cloaked. Axton: Axton is able to deploy a versatile Dahl Sabre Turret, a veritable arsenal with 360° rotation and a weapons complement that can be upgraded to include multi-rocket launcher and a portable nuke. Cooldown is 48 seconds (same as Salvador). Gaige: Gaige is a Mechromancer. She is the fifth playable class in Borderlands 2. First revealed at PAX East 2012, the class will be added as post-release downloadable content 60-90 days after the Borderlands 2 release. There will be no charge for those that pre-ordered Borderlands 2 but will cost a small fee for those that don't. She is able to command mechs, including the D374-TP (Deathtrap). Gaige's skill tree features player challenge level variances. This would make her both the easiest and the most difficult character to play. STORY Set five years after the events of Borderlands, Handsome Jack, the game's main antagonist, has taken over the Hyperion Corporation, declared himself Dictator of Pandora and stolen all of the credit for finding the Vault, going so far to claim responsibility for killing the Destroyer. Jack has also blotted out much of the light on the planet by having a giant orbiting H-shaped base set in front of Pandora's stationary moon. The new team in Borderlands 2 is tasked with killing Jack and returning peace to Pandora.
