Author Topic: Does anyone actually use the Home Keys?  (Read 3072 times)

i've tried to use the home keys, but it doesn't work out.

I always start at the home row, to do otherwise would be pushing away a huge amount of muscle memory.

im used to just typing where my fingers go
anytime someone tries to teach me home-row, i cannot do it.

I used to use them until I got so comfortable with a keyboard I didn't need them. I do, however, use the Home key and the End key in Blockland because you can't move your text cursor with a mouse. And holding <- is slow.

Actually, I kind of realized that I do pretty much use it.

No, I just place my fingers down someplace on the keyboard and begin typing.

I get 60-80 WPM, I am the fastest typer in my grade right now. Nobody in my school can even get close to me, and I never used "home row"

No, I have attached a mind-reading helmet to my head for a more direct input.

In elementary school they made us take this typing program every year, I eventually got so good at it I could maintain a 40WPM, but now I can only do 30 because I'm out of elementary school now and there aren't any typing programs in my new school.
40/30 wpm is kinda slow :s
