Author Topic: REQUEST: Train Models  (Read 3883 times)

I would do it, but my models always end up being too high poly.

I can model with minimal poly, but I can't do animations and exporting.

Did as much work as I could in two hours.

It's so.....beautiful! Chrisbot definitely needs this in his pack if he wants it.

Only had a little bit of time today.

That's really cool :o

Can it be exported, though? I notice you're using what appears to be the new version of blender.

The model can be transferred to Blender 2.49, which has compatability with the necessary exporter.

Awesome.

I'd be happy to make a train for the set.

Yeah I really hate the square collision mesh stuff with player vehicles. Really dumb.

When adding mounts for trains for this mod, do I include mount0 (driver's mount) or not?

[edit]

What do you guys think of the body?  I think it's done there, so I'll move on to the undercarriage next.

The red color is just to show what will be the changeable color.

Shiiiit.

So, I was wrong, you can't just load up a 2.6whatever Blender file with 2.49.  but, you can "append" it (whatever that means).  But, appending it into 2.49 strips it of its faces...

You can load it, but you have to save it in the legacy mesh format. It's somewhere in the save options.

Ok, I'll do that.

And I didn't see the bottom half of the OP before starting the train.  Guess I got reworking to do.
