Author Topic: Protection for Trench TDM's  (Read 546 times)

I was playing on a TTDM earlier today, and I kept asking to stop being killed while trying to upgrade my teams' base. So what I'm asking for is:
  • /buildmode to turn it off and on
  • You turn invincible and respawn with the new playertype, and you can't damage other players
  • You respawn with no tools besides the default Trench Shovel and Dirt
  • You should not be able to pick up other weapons when in /buildmode
  • If on a server that has a central spawn room where there is a shop, you shouldn't spawn in the spawn room, you would respawn on the field.
  • A certain zone(event?) that once out of range from will then respawn you back at base.

Any suggestions on what to be added?

What would stop you from going over to the other person's base and griefing it while in build mode?

I thought the point of Trench TDMs was building and fighting in conjunction

Could have a radius/zone that a builder looses his invincibility/gains it. Worked quite well on my server in practice.

Or if you do kill someone while in buildmode, you lose a stuffton of points.

That would be a really stupid idea. Trust me, how are people suppose to know if someones in build mod, and it might even be an accident. This is much to unfair for that. Think before you speak
